@@dumbtch-lk5yr yeah i think the letter was from Focalors but the voice that speaks in the teaser is Furina(you can notice it by intonation. Focalors voice is more mature than the voice we hear here. the voice we hear here is normal Furina voice). Also at the end of his story quest we see Furina's letter that tells him to go outside and get to know people more, she says that she has told him that 100 times and her line that starts with "you will see much in the human world from delightful to the depressing" is also similar to what Focalors wanted. They are kind of the same person so it makes sense for their thought process to be similar.

Personally I think that they ruined his personality with how he’s presented. What should be a very interesting character about what a good person has to do for the sake of justice just boiled down to “he’s so misunderstood” I found it really annoying to see him and all the trailers of him just make me feel like I’m meant to like this guy too much, without much reason to actually like him. I feel like they stripped away a potential great plot line of having to understand the purpose of justice instead we just have a friendly character who can do no wrong. It’s too likeable for a judge.

Nuevillette has a VERY intriguing character. He has the front of someone who seems like he would be cold and callous. But when you actually meet him… he’s the polar opposite. Sure, he struggles to understand others and himself. But when he’s in the courtroom, he knows what he’s doing. He does care for people, he just doesn’t know how to show it. He’s also fond of the Melusine, and it’s emphasized a lot more here when he gives a small smile at the Melusine in this trailer. I went into Fontaine expecting not to like Nuevillette. But I actually quite enjoyed him by the end of the first act of Fontaine. Thanks for bringing an awesome character to life ❤❤

The early trailers/previews of Fontaine did a goud job of showing what his demeanor looks like from the outside, as he seems kind of cold ahnd callous amongst the funky justice system that was eluded to early on. Then once you see him actually interacting with others in a professional roll ahnd adjacent to it in slightly more personal contexts, you see his complicated character, ahnd it feels relatable, intriguing, ahnd original amongst other character types. I'm very impressed with Mihoyo making original characters, that are sometimes similar to some character tropes you see in anime, but they branch off into nuanced original peeps that are nuanced ahnd enticing. So freakin' proud to be apart of this game l:)

That statement itself could almost be confusing as..... spoiler If you didn't know or couldn't tell, Neuvilette IS a Melusine that just happens to look completely human (thus him wondering why he is in that form). Another Melusine character is also on the way, a 4-star little girl named Sigewinne. She's mostly human, but still has the Melusine wings and protrusions on her head. She even has the tail, though her's is curled up like a Shiba/Husky tail. Very adorable looking outfit. Like a stylish magical girl, but oddly still fitting for the place. Sigewinne though, like Neuvilette, has a human face, hands and feet.

When I first saw this guy in the teaser reprimanding Furina, I thought he was going to be a super one-note character. But then his very first scene in the archon quest was the one in the opera where we’re awkwardly trying to say hello to him, and it humanized him and it was such a good intro to his character BEFORE seeing him as chief justice. And after what happened in act two (especially with the rain!) he became one of my favorite Genshin characters I love him so much Anyway, I hope he comes home upon his release, because I might not have enough primos and I don’t know how far away a rerun would be. It was so unexpected. I thought he was going to be very strict when talking, so when I got to the part where he was at the theater, I was preparing myself like, "Alright, here we go! When he first met Focalors, he outright said, "You are not Furina, who are you?". That scene was Focalors' and Neuvillette's first meeting in person, he knows that she's not Furina herself because he knew Furina's hidden side for years even if he doesn't understood it fully. At the end when he finally know the whole truth, he concluded that they are the same person as per his character story.

@@wearymeowmeow I mean I did read somewhere that focalor does took over furina sometimes so furina wasn't totally herself all the time , she was mix of focalor and herself when focalor was alive (i doubt she's really dead tho 🐔) but maybe after traveller arrived focalor was more busy with her plan and and wasn't taking over furina that much ,even if furina did guided neuvilette , there's no chance she did done it without focalor help and it's written that focalor invited neuvilette Tho neuvilette only received letter so ofc he didn't really didn't met focalor in person even if he did focalor was too cautious with her every action so she never let him know that she and furina aur different 🤧, well in the end that's all our theory that what we learn and saw in in the game and lore , it's sad mihoyo never gives clear explanation and ends things for guessing :'( i also wished they explained the neuvilette and focalor lore and neuvilette birth and and everything more clearly at least just lauch the story on hoyolab so we'll able to know what exactly happened 🤧

When I was in summer Camp we always play some Smash Ultimate let the kids play first then the counselors. We had a Smash Tournament where it was teams of 2. My main who I play and got down the moves is Mr. Game & Watch. The friend who I work with in camp and was paired up with mained Roy which Ray also voiced in smash and the Modern-day Fire emblem games. We won the tournament if your wondering. One of my other favorite roles Ray did was in the Magi series as one of the eight generals of Sindria Sharrkan. Ray Overall is such a master at voicing male characters.

So, as I understand the lore, Rhinedottir created the abyssal dragons Durin and Elynas, who seemingly only wanted to play on the surface but their power was so devastating that they sowed chaos and destruction wherever they went. Also, before the Archon War, there were seven dragon sovereigns ruling the seven areas of Teyvat that would later become the nations. Each dragon had elemental power, and the king of all dragons could wield all seven elements. Dvalin is a baby from the previous Anemo Dragon Sovereign, and so Dvalin would inherit that position were it not for the archons. Was Durin meant to challenge Dvalin’s seat of power as Mondstadt’s dragon overlord? And was Elynas created to replace the former Hydro Dragon Sovereign? We have a solid hunch that Neuvillette is a reincarnation of sorts for the Hydro Dragon Sovereign, but would that make him sorta related in a roundabout way to Elynas? Elynas is also the father of the Melusines, since the fight inside the corpse of Elynas produced an explosion of energy that mingled with Elynas’s biology and popped out the entire race of Melusines. If what assumptions I’ve made about the abyssal dragons created by Rhinedottir are false, I’ll update this with correct info and new theories. All of this to say that I think that’s why Neuvillette is so connected to the Melusines.

It also has ties in to the huge web that is the Narzissenkreuz Ordo lore, and we learn there's even darker secrets BEYOND the Abyss, which the Abyss is just a pale reflection of.

I love Hiroshi Kamiya but I felt like he didn't even gave effort in voicing Neuvillette cause he seems so gentle in JP and literally expected him to pull off a Levi or Trafalgar vibe. EN is definitely better this time in Fontaine, also Furina.

This is truly a beautiful trailer. Every scene is screen background worthy and it warms my heart when Neuvillette had a soft heart for the Melusines. But that scene where multiple Neuvillette’s popped one after an another was also very beautiful. The 4.1 trailer and this had officially convinced me to pull for Neuvillette Edit: sooo I watched the leaks for Furina’s kit and honestly, Focalors seems like an archon that should not be left up to 50/50. It is Furina. There's other lines from her where her personality hugely differs to what we see in person. I'm wondering if she's put a core part of herself in the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale to get it to work. Like she made it but also can't seem to be able to answer any questions about it, as if she's forgotten what she did to make it. And it doesn't seem like a Venti "~ehe~" forget when he's actually just flat out dodging the question, but she genuinely doesn't remember and it seems to unsettle and fluster her until she quickly puts her act back on.

Yeah. I normally prefer the sub version of most of the games/Anime I watch but there are a few dubs that I give exceptions to it if the voice actors are supremely Talented. Like for example I was curious to hear who was playing Neuvillette so I set my expectations low But then I saw Ray Chase doing him It was just instantly surpassed. Ray is one of those actors that you can instantly make an exception to because he always puts on memorable performances in his roles be it main character or sub role, yeah he is known for playing Sukuna at the moment in Jujitsu Kaisen but my favorite role he did was Noctis in Final Fantasy 15. Not to mention a friend of mine mains Roy in smash which he also did. He is overall very talented.

Ngl I can feel his EN voice actor really love the character instead of thinking of him as just another simple acting gig. There is just something about it that makes you feel the character deep inside your bone that makes you want to keep hearing it more. The last time I really felt like this was with the EN voice acting was from Eide/Chlothar Alberich' VA. I even searched & watched clips of Clothar in EN dub since I played in different language because he's just that good and it's really rare for me to feel like this with EN dub tbh so good job to the voice actors, really.
