not trolling at all. Most high end team comps use just 1 breaker, and sometimes no breaker at all. It depends on a lot of things but no, it's not a crazy idea. Many of my runs are like this.

very good and detailed, but I disagree with Izana, she is a damage monster if she has decent item traits and high research. She deserves it to be SS (even tho I'm not a fan of her as character). Also Heidi best girl

Why would you put the Divine Aid Staff on Bold Resna ? That's giving her Stun damage and she's not a breaker. Isn't the Tome of Answer better for 28% C.Dam as a DPS Build ?

Tome of answers only works on attackers, bresna is a supporter. The staff has 95 matk too and unfortunately is the only 95matk weapon, for now, that gives her something at all. In the end is not a big deal if you use a book but i cannot suggest a weapon that gives nothing, if you understand what i mean.

Why does Ice Klaudia not make use of Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down like Gyaru Ryza, for example? Is it just that Damage Buff A is better and you don't use her ult a lot, so the 20% increased dmg is not that useful?

pmr down traits only affect magic damage received and physical damage received debuffs. all damage received or elemental resistance debuffs are not included in that

Hey Shal! How important is the optimal Memoria for choosing which team to fully invest in for Roman? For example: - I have Rose Val, Rose Flocke + Her Memoria. I also have Valentine Escha. But no Empel and no other Rose units. - I have Academy Sophie, Resna, and Ryza, but did not hit Resna's memoria. - I have Izana, Lydie for the core of that comp too. Was wondering if I should be sparking for Empel and Heidi and fully go into Rose Val carrying, or sparking for Onsen Klaudia + Rorona (if I don't get her) as they can both fit into academy comp and izana comp, however I do not have their limited memoria.

I'll respond to your comment under the premise that Roman Tournament is your main focus, and nothing else. Keep this in mind because investing in this team for this purpose carries out a lot of consequences, that I will explain too. ------- Both Empel and Heidi are critical for this team to work, but in different ways: - Empel is a tremendous boost to damage that not having will essentially deprive you of any chance for top 50, at all. - Heidi on the other hand is not as important damage wise, but she is THE character in the team that enables the runs to happen to begin with. Without Heidi, the runs just aren't be doable. Now that you have this clear, Heidi is a much more important character to have and spark for, but there is more, just having the characters also will not guarantee any high rank. There is a certain level of commitment to this team and its gear and investments that you must achieve before seeing actual results. If your gear is mediocre across all 5 characters and your memoria is low rank, you will not notice any significant improvement and in the worst case you might not even be able to complete a run. The 2 most impactful memorias for this team are Valeria and Flocke memorias "Stand against the Apexi" and "A future worth fighting for". The latter can be replaced by things like "Our Masterpiece" but some high level clears require a minimum investment on Valeria's memoria to even work, normally at least rank 2 or 3, based on her gear. With all that said, there is still more! Tournament meta is about to change in global after the release of Rorona and soon after Klaudia. This will most likely relegate Strike Valeria's team to second place (which is still very strong) in everything except Strike tournaments, as both these characters enable all the other affinities to have more access to burst panels and deal magic damage that is at least on par with physical teams, respectively, so investing in Strike team right now might not be a great idea. It's better to wait for now and use that time to consider if your current resources can realistically put you in a high rank or if they are insufficient. If it's the latter, I'd tell you to avoid using these resources for these as you will most likely end up with an undercommited team and no results to show for.

@@ShalAppelgreen Thanks for the detailed response Shal! The reason I asked investing in the Rose Val comp is because I have Flocke and Valeria's. However, when I have been checking JP Roman videos, they mostly moved onto Rorona and Klaudia + Izana / Lydie / Breaker Ryza.

@@HaruhiGamer Exactly, yes. That's in fact the intended tournament experience. For some ungodly reason we in Global got these tournament more than a month earlier than we should have, which led to us having tournaments active but not all the characters intended to do them (Rorona was the first), which makes the complete mess of a game we have right now where Valeria dominates all affinities. That's about to change. That said, valeria team is still a solid consideration if all you want to do is focus on 1 team for all affinities. Might not be the best anymore, but it does well enough if you cannot split resources among multiple teams.

Do you think any ice unit attacker (Swimsuit Ryza?) will ever get to the level of Izana / AcaRorona for carrying Roman with a dedicated comp? Realistically, if my goal is only top 100, I think Global is easy enough to still continue to hit that with just Rose Val. but just curious.

@@HaruhiGamer I don't follow JP that closely so I dont know what future characters do or how they perform. My take on these things is that "if you dont need it, dont use it". Until you see the need up your dmg for a specific, just hold onto your memoria shards or others before making a decision you might regret later.

Read the intro. Once you understand it, you will realize characters previously in bottom of SS tier are now in the bottom of S tier or the top of A tier. The relative evaluation hasn't changed much, I just added new tiers. Sophie also doesn't hold that well in modern content, primarily because her skills are disruptive compared to Totori's, and second because the Defender role is not in a great position as a whole.

it was an instant spark imo since her release, but she is about to enter into the general pool in some weeks so I'm not too sure now. If you can ensure rorona and onsen klaudia for the coming banners, maybe she is. there arent many super strong units in the immediate horizon besides those

I've not decided if she is SS material yet or not, but she is definitely up high in the list. Ryza is irrelevant for her to work well, she is independent

@@puddingpanda645 all the characters you mentioned are tournament relevant and by virtue of that they are "good" having. Now, if they are useful for something else will depend on what you to play more, what content you are missing, etc. They will all perform great in their respective setups. Ryza is not only a Resna support. She is a strong character paired with any magic attacker, same as Klaudia. Heidi is the most universal of the 4, going well with any physical or magic team but not providing as much as the other 3. Escha is the least universal, only pairing well with physical teams, but having the strongest dmg contribution of all 4.

@@ShalAppelgreen I see that definitely is very helpful! I'm not that dead set on the tournament, but i've been struggling with the dungeons from Passage to the Remnants onwards. I mostly wish to unlock Risk 7 of everything so that i'm able to gather every ingredient for synthesis. Izana and Flocke have been a great help so far!

@@puddingpanda645 None of the mentioned characters are needed for dungeons or regular content. They just make them easier, to the absurdity. Like what you see in my vids, which I make on purpose that way to promote the characters' strengths. But they arent needed in slightest, so just pick whatever fits you most.
