sir as increase in flow, efficiency also increase that's means perticular flow with good head but after maximum efficiency point we will increase flow there is decreased in head hence decrease in efficiency am i right?

Hello sir, as explained in the earlier lectures that if the discharge valve is kept closed then there will be back pressure on impeller. So this back pressure will also lead to increase in power.

@@ChemicalMahi but for flow rate vs power, it is said that initially there will be less power consumption when discharge valve is closed then what about back pressure here? And as soon as the discharge valve is opened the power required to run the impeller will increase. And also in case of throttling chapter it was explained that due to back pressure the power required will be more and in case of closed discharge valve the impeller may get damage also.

Dear Kunal don't get confuse.Look at characteristic curve of Centrifugal pumps u can easily see that when u increase flow then power consumption increase and is minimum when valve is closed. For your second query Look at the power formula Power depends directly on flow rate and Inversely on Efficiency also by throttling the valve for a particular pump u are decreasing it's efficiency so power consumption increase than the case when it is fully open.

Or agar hum valve throttle karty hain yani uska hum flowrate kamm karty hain ya hum discharge valve full closed karty hain to us surat main power consumption zyada kion nahi lag rahi jabky back pressure to is main bhi hai

Sir area kamm karny sy pressure kamm hota hai or velocity increase hoti hai to jabb hum pipe ko aagy sy band karty hain garden main pani dety huye yani hum uska area kamm karty hain to kia velocity or pressure dono increase ho jaty hain???
