Alhambra dullah! Question for you. My friend Sanjay Gupta (hindu) told me that our family used to be hindu but we were made convert under pressure from muslim invasion. But true heritage is vedas. Is this true?

according to an Indian preacher Zakir Naik there's many concept in Vedas that is similar in Islam (example: concept of 1 god). Also if I'm not mistaken ancient Indian rulers were also Muslim (eg: the rulers who built the Taj Mahal). It's common in ancient time for citizen to adopt religion of their kings & ruler, also you can't know for sure if Vedas contain concept borrowed from Islam or a concept from monotheistic-abrahamic-religion pre-Islam or is it actually original idea.
