I also remember listening to the Japanese dub of a game called The Neverhood, and while the English voice-acting certainly wasn't perfect, I was shocked to learn that this was one time the seiyuu did *not* put enough energy into their work. Let me give out a fair criticism. The dub is decent, especially with the fact that half of the cast have SMT and Persona voice actors in it, including more of it, but the problem with it is the voice direction, but the important element on it is the MIXING. This can be applied in Japanese dub too. If you play Story Mode, when they talk, you realize that the frequency of the waveforms are actually limited to prevent the voice clips for clipping the distortion, and that it sounds a bit dry on the recording department. That's something it needs to be fixed for dubbed games by Arc System Works. Other than that, the English voices are actually fantastic. The voices I don't like in English is Seth and Yang. First, Seth sounds a bit nasally and Yang sounds a bit off-flowed with the expressions. The voices I don't like in Japanese is Linne and Teddie. Linne sounds calm and monotone, which is a good thing, but the high-pitched voice don't help at all, as it make it a bit cliché on the properties. Sarah really nailed the indifferent, calm and slightly kind persona on her. And Teddie sounds obnoxious to death, making its quirks quite annoying. And I hate the fact he have to say Kuma all the time, it's absurd. And I have to mention that Japanese Rachel is sounding generic like it's your average anime girl. The voices I love in English is Chie, Linne, Mitsuru, Noel, Mai, Yosuke, Weiss, Yu, Yuzihiro, Labrys, Blake, Naoto (P4) but I highly love the voice of Rachel in English mostly. Mela Lee nailed it with her English accent on her, it's quite fitting on the design of the character, including her persona. And in Japanese, I love the voices of Mitsuru, Akihiko, Seth, Kanji, Mika, Varista, Platinum and Hyde. Also, you forgot that Carrie Keranen is the announcer & System-XX of this game. Overall, fantastic casting, but rough voice direction and mixing. :)

Huge props to all the voice actors as they did a great job voicing every character. While I personally despise rwby and heart's dub voice, it still does not change the fact how well it was executed. English for Blazblue was kept relatively same from chronophantasma. So the returning voices were a good flashback. The new dub voices for Es and Nine could be improved. P4 is great. All of the dub cast did a grear job voicing each seperate character. Now the new dub for undernight was surprising. They executed it so well that it was baffling. While Yuzuriha and Seth leaves room for improvement, characters like gordeau and waldstein were so well executed. As for Jp, same as always. All the jp voice actors remained the same and its done perfectly. No need to improve, just the same old. And a saving grace from jp is that they voiced rwby characters which really helped me not unplug my headset everytime I fight a rwby type team. (For those rwby fans who dont mind the voice, more power to you, its just my opinion)

I actually really like her Japanese voice. Of course the show began in English, so the English voice just feels more natural, but in the same way that sometimes I feel the English Dub is better than the original Japanese, (Code Geass for example) in my opinion, Ruby's Japanese voice is just slightly better than the original. The rest of team RWBY are definitely better in English though.

That would be cuz the RWBY VAs weren't profesional VAs. If you know how RWBY came to be then you'd know that RWBY was a passion project made by friends and fellow RT co workers. The VAs for RWBY worked at RT at the time and weren't professionals.
