The unbreakable Chris Parnell. A lot of people sometimes think because he never laughed he must be a sourpuss but all his co stars loved having him in a sketch because he didn't mind when someone would break and would just do his best to keep it moving forward

OMG...if you watched TV in the 70's you'd know they totally nailed this era! The celebrities are like Charro, Bruce Jenner, George Carlin, and Nipsy Russell; Charro was on freaking everything for no apparent reason at all.

This was an impressive sketch, really capturing the style of 70s game shows and good impersonations of 70s celebrities (not 60s, like it mistakenly says in the description). The guy doing Rich Little was especially impressive, as he was actually doing multiple impersonations.

when i was 16/17 (now 19), my family had no internet and we could only watch 3-5 channels on the tv. One of the channels aired game shows from the 50s-80s and when I tell you this sketch is TOO accurate!!! They did an amazing job replicating the 70s game shows that aired and it’s aesthetic! it’s almost frightening and it hurts to watch tbh lmao! SNL definitely did their research for this 😂😭😂

He stayed at the small boutique Hotel I was managing in 1979. I got to take dinner to him in his dressing room backstage and stay while he riffed, warming up for his show, then watch it from backstage. He was a nice guy, but was clearly pretty revved up on coke. One of the high spots in my life. I hate that he was lost to us so early.
