I’m an undergraduate physicist watching this to learn about charcoal burning, so I can confirm this is more complicated than rocket science!

Great set-up. I’d live to find a kiln like that. And yes, you’re not going to find better looking charcoal than that!

Considering i can run my little Mazda truck on charcoal it's definitely a superfuel. Grows in the ground and once made to char it won't rot like stored wood does.

I appreciate you're making large amounts, and from Green wood? there are plenty of examples of people making biochar without any smoke using retorts and dry wood. Yes there's some moisture in the smoke but that is mostly smoke, unburned fuel

Tried burning charcoal 5x still couldn't get it right. I just bury the damn thing with soil now and hope some turn out okay.
