Details very very appreciated regarding tools that you use for charcoal drawings, drawings of which you excel (and with pencil too). Writing this comment some time after the tutorial, during which time the Tombow chiseled eraser is on the scene. Ultimately - thank you.

This is one of the most genuine videos about materials. Most of the guys who do videos try to promote products like salesmen whereas you simply say "brands are not really that important". By the way you produce amazing charcoal drawings and thank you for sharing your videos.

Thanks for this Miroslav, my vine charcoal arrived and today I attempted my first drawing ever using charcoal. I picked your rearing up stallion and wow to my shock it actually resembles yours a little. I followed the video step by step and it took about 3 and a half hrs. Thank you so much for doing these videos

This is an excellent video! When I first started using charcoal I didn’t really know where to start and invested in very cheap quality pencils & supplies. I remember using really smooth paper once, drew on it with charcoal, then when I blew the charcoal dust... it all fell on the floor 😂 This video is very helpful so you know where to start 😊👍🏻

Thank you. I find that I am watching your videos more and more for help... with charcoal mostly. I enjoy doing landscape value sketching. Your demonstrations and your narrative are clear and thoughtful. A couple of years ago while camping I made some vine charcoal in a sealed can. Beautiful and lovely to use. I have trouble sharpening pencils so perhaps I'll look for woodless compressed charcoal pencils.

ASalways another great video thanks . I find a lot of breakage when sharpening my woodless pencils. Is it the quality of the pencil or sharpener or my impatience . Can’t seem to get a sharp point, any tips ? Cheers

Hey, I have a question. Do paper damages (such as surface scratches) show up once you shade it with charcoal? Or does charcoal cover it up with the charcoal’s formula? Considering that it’s darker and softer than graphite??
@MiroslavSunjkic
@MiroslavSunjkic 3 жыл бұрын
some damage here and there is unavoidable, but it's mostly not visible. use thick paper, that helps a lot.
