Water popping or "raising the grain" is a process used to open the grain of the wood for a better sanding finish

not even 6k subs? Huh.. Doesnt seem quite right.. Question that may or may not get answered.. This oil that youre putting on these here wooden awesomes.. Is it an oil thats made for this kinda shit? or will the cured deer sausage end up absorbing some of the chemicals in the finish?

I use mineral oil, it's food safe so go ahead and throw a whole deer leg on it
