If u are in a hurry to start car and u know alternator is charging but battery is just drained for whatever reason, then disconnect both battery terminals and then connect 12v charger straight to cables in car. Start the car and remove adapter wires then put back battery terminals positive first then negative....if u are a slow person then it's fine...car can still idle without battery for a minute or so

If you not connect bulb, your battery will charge with 19v.. this is too much of power for charge, need only max 14v.. when you connect bulb in series connection.. bulb consume excess volt from charger and save battery from damage..
