Charger Scat pack - Vibrant 1794 resonators vs stock mufflers

After much reading on forums and debating on whether to mod my exhaust, I decided to take the Pepsi challenge and try this highly regarded exhaust mod. I didn't want to delete the mufflers like many do. I chose to just kick it up a notch with these Vibrant Performance 1794 resonators in place of the stock mufflers. I didn't touch the stock resonators near the tips. It sounds louder, deeper, has less rasp and overall I am extremely happy with them! It should sound like this from the factory IMO. Videos definitely not doing justice to hearing the difference in person but hope this helps some hear a difference and maybe decide.
Not everyone will agree on exhaust. It's a highly personal preference. I've had super loud old cars with dumped long tube headers and modern quiet cars and everything in between. This is my daily driver and I love the active exhaust on this car. It's quiet when I want to cruise but screams when you want it also. This just kicked it up a bit to a perfect level for me. It's a great option for anyone just wanting a little more without going delete or full exhaust swap.

Dude, thank you for this video. I did this today on my ‘19 scat pack and my coworker who did a mid muffler delete on his Daytona 392 now wishes he did this. It sounds perfect. I’ve gotten compliments on it already and the muffler shop even said it sounded perfect. I highly recommend this exhaust setup. Plenty loud, and sounds deep and aggressive. Video doesn’t do it justice

*Why can't every exhaust video be like this?* Would like to hear the 18" ones on this 👍🏼 but the 12s are louder. (Edit: forget that, I wanna heart the 5", 7" or 9" race mufflers on this. The 12" long was really nice, I had that and the 18" long on mine, and 18" is too low sounding for my high revving engine.)

Love the wheel and tire combo. How is traction with the 315s out back? Do the replicas vibrate at all or rub being that wide? I'd like to do the same setup on my Scat Pack Challenger.

Thanks! Traction is very much improved with the larger 315 tires out back. No vibrations. I originally had a very minor rub on just the plastic liner which I modified and also added a small 3mm spacer after noticing and nothing more since.

So I have a 19’ Challenger SXT with Flowmaster 10s and resonator deletes, if I put vibrant resonators like these on it, will it relieve some of that drone as well? It also gets kind of annoying at certain rpms as well inside the car.

I don't think it added any drone inside while just cruising. it's definitely louder when you are on it though. No change in power, it's all there. ok...1st things first --how do you not take that long sweep ‘n just kill it in 1st or 2nd????!!!!!!!!! 1st is now sublime...Michelin Pilot Super Sport Pluses still spin from a dig -- but from 5mph -- hang on!! wow.... no low end loss--- Great ...please let me know about the drone, and now I will start working on my wife!! That beeping noise about 3 seconds after the first startup is something mine does as well. Any clue how to get rid of it? I know it's coming from the actuators on the active exhaust, just don't know why though

Mid muffler deletes or swaps dont affect the warranty of the car. Only voids the exhaust warranty

Not a fan of the dynomax raspiness myself. I was reading on forums of guys that had done this and everyone praised the mod. Unfortunately no good sound clips or comparisons were around so I made one.

Sounds great, on your rec I picked up a pair of these, haven't installed them yet as I've also committed to installing some dynamat sound deadening first (toddlers go in the back lol but not always). Anyway, in trying to remove the trunk liner I've found that the bottom center section of plastic isn't budging for me and figured I'd see if you had any tips/ advice to give.

They have different sizes, check your stock piping size first. Scat pack - Hellcats are 2.75" ,if its the same, use the 1794s.

Now that I've had a chance to research a bit, I wonder why someone hasn't tried the 1795's? They look the same, but are longer and this would eliminate the need to add the extra weld on the 1794's because of the shorter length. Not sure how that would effect the sound?

Usually the bigger the muffler/resonator, lowers the sound level. I'm sure it would change a little, but hard to say how much.

I know this might defeat the purpose of owning a 450whp car.......but I'm looking to make my Scat Pack as quiet as possible. I live in a building and my garage is underneath a neighbors bedroom, so she definitely hears it every morning when I leave the house. I also am starting to get looks from other neighbors. I usually wouldn't care, but I gotta live with these people. What's a set of mufflers that I can replace the factory ones with that will reallllllllllly quiet this car down? I'm not too worried about losing performance as it will probably only take 10 horsepower away anyway...magnaflow? vibrant? borla? If anyone has an idea, let me know. Great car man! Looking good!

I would say look for bigger volume mufflers, maybe some larger magnaflows, still a straight through design but with more packing and volume to absorb more sound. You won't lose power with something like that but it would quiet it down a bit. Might look at their #12259 or even #12589. I had a big 24" on my 2012 Ram and it was deep but not loud. The cold start up is the only harsh part for me, and thats just emissions crap on newer cars that lights off the cats quicker by retarding timing. It would be nice if we had a quiet start option like the newer mustangs for instances like that. Good luck!

Sergio Duran I know a guy who has those on his Scat Pack and they give it a tad bit more aggressive tone. I can’t speak about if there’s any drone because I haven’t ridden in the car but from the outside it does sound good.

Its louder overall outside, but I don't think it drones inside any more than it did stock. These cars are pretty quiet when cruising which is nice. Wide open though... look out, it screams now. :) I can't recommend them enough. It sounds so mean and perfect to me with the vibrants.
