Charging elephant kills Minnesota tourist on 'dream vacation'

A friend confirms the victim was 79-year-old Gail Mattson of Hopkins. A tour company says a bull elephant charged a vehicle, killing Mattson and injuring another.

Wild animals attack humans for a reason such as for territorial invasion by humans, feeling threatened or protecting the young. Sometimes it’s just plain not respecting the animal’s warnings for humans to back off.
