I indeed received a 100% refund within two weeks. So next, I bought a brand new Smooth 5s 🥳 I am curious what I need to do (or not) to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

@@Hart-en-Ziel the best advice I have is to make sure you are using a charger that is rated for the gimbal.

Write to the company and point them towards this reel to show that you know that it's a known problem.

I sent mine back, and they replaced it for me. I haven't had the issue since.

You should put the phone! Without the phone it will turn off to save battery

I don't believe that this is correct. Now that I have a new one, it charges normally and stays on whether I plug the phone in or not. I generally don't plug the phone in since I'm not using the controls other than as a normal gimbal.

Mine did that until, I just used it in landscape mode and activated both apps, now I can do everything even portrait mode...MAKE SURE YOU DO THE FIRNWARE UPDATE!

@@poeticgeenetikstv4672 Well, so the culprit is its firmware, is that it? 🤔 I hope I'm lucky enough; mine just arrived a couple days ago and the battery still at ~70% - 75% so I didn't charged it yet. But I did firmware update first thing when I run the app (ZY Cami) for first time.

There was no fix. I contacted the company and they sent me a new one.

The manual says it supports "18 watts charger at most" so does it mean that you can't use a fast charger like a 67 watts. It's so confusing.

I would try charging it overnight. Especially if it's your first time using it. If you're still having issues, you'll want to contact the company where you bought it.

I beat all of you. I charged it for THREE DAYS, and it still shuts down after turning it on. I emailed the company today. I hope they get back to me soon. I have to finish my video quickly.

I went to shoot in Montenegro in November, but Zhiyun let me down. Even though I charged it at night, the gimbal was not charged and I could not shoot the next day. My whole project was ruined. What is the latest status on this issue? Can you give me your contact email address?
