Thanks for your question. If your house already has a proper earthing system, you won't need to use the Wundercurrent earthing rod. The Wundercurrent extension reel has a built-in indicator light that will turn green to let you know earthing is detected. In that case, you can simply plug in and charge safely without needing the external earthing rod.
