She needs to speak with the right American accent if she wants to succeed as an artist that does not only cater to Filipinos. I think she is doing the right thing and I wish her continued success. She is the most talented singer in the planet. I know that it is very difficult to gain wide acceptance here in the U.S., and I sincerely hope that she becomes as famous as Celine and Whitney.

Actually I was not criticizing her accent. I think she speaks English better than most Americans. I was merely emphasizing the need for her to lose her Filipino accent when she speaks English in the U.S. I would hate to see her career stall because people might view her as too ethnic. People of her age tend to pick up American accents quickly, as I've seen it happen with so many young immigrants from the Philippines. I am an avid fan and will continue to support her.
