She's my idol. :'( I remember I asked her for a hug when she had a mall tour here in Bataan, Philippines. I bought her album to meet and greet her. That memory was so precious to me. She smiled at me and I hugged her!!!! She's still "Charice" at that time tho her hair is already short at that time. I miss her so much performing this way and honestly, I cry at times when I'm watching her youtube videos singing in this way. She's really a gem.

Crab mentality. That’s what the filipinos are also known for. Always quick to claim talented filipinos at the same time always eager to criticize. They crucified Jake when he came out and announced he’s a transman. Only very few fans and filipino followers ever thought of how hard it must have been for Jake to give up his promising career as Charice, the money and fame that goes with it. Charice must have been emotionally miserable deep inside bcoz he couldn’t be himself. He kept it to himself for a long time meanwhile bringing so much pride to the Philippines. That alone should be more than enough for the filipinos to be grateful for. Jake will never be able to hit those high notes again for as long as he is taking male hormones. It sucks that Charice is gone but Jake is just as talented. I’m happy for Jake. He’s very brave to go through all of that physical and mental struggles and still make it through. Still making music and sharing his talent.

Jake is still here. Singing his heart out in the songs with different style. You can look for his videos too on youtube. He just released his new single called #dnm or Diamond Jake Zyrus. And the great new is his voice is getting better and better everyday. Because he was on testosterone kind of thing. Just give him some times. Then he surely comes back and doing a full belt for us again. Promise. The only thing that never change is the emotion and feeling of the song and the way he deliver the song.
