Handouts and developmental aid is another and the list is long. We need to learn to fish and not depend on the fish sent to us. Good political leadership provide the right environment for entrepreneurship to flourish. God gives us Power to get wealth . Deut 8:18. This statement from God is true even in bad political leadership. The wealthy do not become wealthy by handouts or because they are saved. I tell you, never heard of this ever before. Over the last 6 months I started to practice. Went hard like moving a rock in the beginning. Yes, I agree w/ the concept that Andrew Wommack is teaching, re getting something for nothing. I also agree w/ the writer, during slavery, that was the ultimate the slave masters was getting something for nothing. The slaves wasn't paid for their labor, & yes slaveowners & their families has been prosperous on the back 9f the black slaves that worked w/ out getting compensated for it. Give honor to whom honor is due is also in the Word of God & many other scriptures supporting the ungodliness of slavery to the black people. That was God answer to prayer when the Emanicipation as well as Juneteenth, whereas the slaves was free but wasn't aware that they was free. I agree with you. Enslaving and taking land from others is wrong. Benefiting from.someone elses work (slavery) and denying folks access to a better surrounding (redling) is wrong. Governments have done this for decades and need to pay. Some of us need to research our history before talking about who shouldn't be compensated. Did Andrew talk about the Japanese when they were compensated? Did he mention the Native American for their compensation? Why mention the Blacks only? And before the Jews left Egypt they didn't leave empty-handed.

My reality is not just part of my thinking it’s also the fact I chose to raise my own children and I’m a single mother with my ex husband and ex partners left me had affairs etc so that means I can’t work full time and earn as much as others. I chose not to put my kids in the childcare system to be raised by strangers. So I had to go with out to have my children. When are the single mums who sacrificed their lives for kids going to be blessed more ? I give to charities to children who are disabled for their medical treatments and much more. And I’ve had people steal thousands is dollars from me.

I've been tremendously blessed by Andrew Wommack's ministry for years. However, I don't agree that it's wrong to get quick riches. That is a very general statement and it depends on WHO receives the windfall and the HEART of the one who receives it. The Bible also talks about the guys who had the talents (coins) and the one who invested his talents pleased his lord and received a good return. My husband and I have invested in something and are about to receive an incredible return. We have already put together a long list of everyone and every source we plan to bless along with anonymously blessing those who will have no idea who it's from and will ONLY be able to give the glory to God. So it's not always wrong to gain wealth quickly, but it IS wrong (in my opinion) to teach that it's wrong without knowing the heart of the one who prayed for quick wealth and invested properly in order to get a return in order to bless others.

Investment is not getting something for nothing. Andrew invests actually. He never taught that investment is wrong. He's against welfare when you are absolutely capable of working. He's also against gambling, lottery, communism ie taking from the rich and giving it to people who wouldn't work for a living. If an investment your husband and you has made brings you a great returns, I think that's a blessing from God (unless you've invested in something wrong).

Hmmm, so while I think there are many good points to this sermon, I think it is ungodly to assume that everyone who is homeless or on welfare are lazy people wanting handouts that don’t contribute to society. Through my church that works with the local homeless shelter, I have met lovely people who had PHDs and fell on hard times when they were laid off without getting hired before losing their home and vehicle. Not to mention widows and women who are parenting single from abusive relationships that chose to not terminate pregnancy. It is lazy and ungodly to negatively label and disregard an entire group of people without bothering to examine the underlying economic and social conditions that have contributed to their situations. This especially goes for the welfare system that force women to remain unwed with low pay. It’s designed in a way to keep people locked into their economic situations in communities that lack equitable education and resources.
