I wish the writers thought about details like that! 😆I hate seeing Charity like this, she's not herself. It's like her spirit has evaporated. There's still tension underneath the formalities. The way Vanessa stared at Charity and forgot to speak and Charity pausing before she said she was glad they could just be "friends" 🤣

I'm in the same boat as you but Charity apparently killed someone at Christmas so now she is struggling with the memories of it

She suffered a miscarriage that was Mac's baby which hindered the relationship a bit but enough for him to cheat on her with a teenager who got also pregnant in the process. Then he goes threatening that girl to say nothing and almost making her abort. Fast forward she gives birth the same day they get married but then his newborn son falls ill with meningitis when he realizes he cares for him. In a snap Charity realises who the father is after a hospital visit and they separate for a while meanwhile he gets to play house with the teenager and goes as far as to propose to her. Cheaters gonna be cheaters so on the day of his baby baptism he makes the deed with Charity again and they sort of get unofficially together though he stills publically is with Chloe (the other girl). What ensues is a car accident with the three of them when Chloe was taking them for a very uncomfortable confrontation but alas they end up in the edge of a cliff. When the moment of true comes he reaches his hand to rescue Charity instead of Chloe. Unscathed for such a fall she then pretends she didn't remember a thing. Fast forward after the longest time Mac comes forward and very openly leaves her for Charity prompting her to escape with his baby and contacting her psycho murderer excon father. This last character abducts Mac in retaliation for everything he put her daughter through. Yadda yadda the girl realises that's not going to end up well and helps Charity rescue him when she arrives but oh no the psycho has a gun so they both struggle a little until she gains control of the pistol and shoots him. You might think poor girl about Chloe but instead she uses that info to blackmail them into never following her and her son now that she's fleeing the country. So yeah, this relationship has its remaining days counted what with Charity PTSD and Mac resenting her because he chose to give up his son to be with her
