Hi Tanya. This marketplace was a example of people getting on with life despite adversity. In particular, the cultural displays and accompanying music were quite lovely, and the people were enjoying the company of their fellow Ukrainians. You showed the festive time in Kyiv, and it was enlightening as I have not had the pleasure of being in Ukraine. Perhaps one day after the conflict I will enjoy visiting your country. Thank you Tanya for your continued hard work and positivity. God preserve Ukraine and its people.

Interesting video. I did not know that a lot of Ukrainians would speak English as I saw some Latin characters in signs like Garage, wine, restaurant. I also noticed that black is a very popular color for winter jackets and there are not that many people wearing ski jackets or coats that have two colors in them. It looks like a nice market and that life is not interrupted from the war. I am glad people can go to the market and enjoy themselves as the weather looks quite nice.

It is important to keep the spirit up in hard times. National solidarity is especially important in a war. Not all can be at the front all of the time, but if the soldiers know that the people have their back it will give them double strength, and for the civilian people this is a way to show full support to the soldiers at the front.

We used to go around the neighborhoods to sing at various houses too. We call that Christmas Caroling. I used to do it for two weeks before Christmas, every evening. We were getting donations for our church. The weather didn't stop us. We had large speakers emanating Christmas carol music to sing along with. Good times, good memories. I rarely see such things anymore. Times have changed indeed.

Good morning, good afternoon or good evening Tanya, one of the best videos you've ever made, it showed the reality of a war, orphaned animals, heroic soldiers of the war with after-effects and the coolest thing, besides the masks that I loved, was being able to send a Merry Christmas card to those who are giving their lives for all of you, these are heroes and deserve all the best. See You Later

This was a magnificent holiday present (gift) from Tanta Fiona. It's the 12 days of Christmas with a fresh face. The delicious mind set of a master tour guide who knows her lovely Kyiv delights us with good dreams of candy canes and sweet chocolate. Every turn and twist of the plot brought wonderment and wild unexpected surprises which reminds me of how much I love Ukraine and most importantly, its people, its customs, and its gentleness. Do I need to say more? Tanya, in the words of Bruce Dickenson played by Christopher Walkin in the Blue Oyster Cult SNL skit, "I need more cow bell!"

Tanya, very interesting and enjoyable video. I have watched many videos from Ukraine but I like your videos best of all. Your tours are always interesting to me and I can feel your emotional attachment to the places and people. I noticed your emotions when you were showing the animal adoption and in your voice when you were talking about adopting a cat of your own, when you can. You have such a warm heart. Thank you for this video and look into your life and the Ukrainian Bazaar. From a friend in Canada. Be safe and warm and take care of Misha. 🤗🇨🇦🇺🇦

I loved that market. All the gifts I'm giving this year are crafts from Ukraine. But I ended up keeping many of the bracelets because I liked them so much. I accidentally became a collector, and now I can't stop. Thanks for sharing. But I'm filing an official complaint that Misha's goofy grin is obscured. ;)

Greetings from Cymru, Tanya and thank you for this great video. I enjoyed the jazz at the start of your walk around and learning about your traditions. I completely agree with you about adopting rather than buying a pet from a breeder. The choir at 18:10 -18:25 was very good. That looks like a place I'd really like to visit once travel is allowed.

I liked it very much. There is a mix of Latin and Cyrillic letters on stores and products, and messages (”adopt me”). Would you say it is about fifty-fifty in Kyiv as the impression I get here? Is it because of international presence in the capitol, or is it common in all of Ukraine?

One sign in your video said "Tyt i 3apa3" which I believe means "Here and Now". Remember back in 2022 after Russia attacked, president Zelensky and members of government appeared on television mentioning each group of government members and ending with "Tyt". I didn't know what "tyt" meant yet but, in English, we sometimes say "toot" to mean a person farts. So, I was seriously wondering what he was saying. 3apa3, I know (3HaTN) -- I am trying to write without a cyrillic keyboard as best I can... imagine that last "N" is backwards... Thank you for another great video... Kyiv looks like so much fun, even in winter, even at war...
