Looks fabulous. I love a bit of upcycling. Many many years ago I sanded all our 1990's 'black ash' furniture and stained it dark oak. All of it is still being used by us to this day. But my best 'upcycled' bit of furniture was a coffee table (which i could tell was real oak) I found at the local tip for £2. I sanded off the several coats of paint it had on it, coloured it with Dark Oak patina wood wax and then gave it several coats of clear varnish. It is still used today and still looks really good.

It's good to see I'm not the only one who paints in her pj's. I decorated my hall and kitchen last spring and was in pj's the whole time because they're so comfy. That turned out really well Rosie, you've done a really good job and saved yourself a fortune. I think you're amazing - you're creative and have a natural flair for colours and textures and just generally making everything look fab. I've got a unit in my garage that's very similar to the cupboard you've done. Same type of wood - antique pine but mine's not got the drawers. I might just bring it back in and try to paint it just like yours and I've even got some F&B Cromarty left from wood panelling in my utility room. Wish me luck. 💞

Goodness, what a transformation. I would have had the room covered in paint! And me 😊. I used to do a lot of this sort of restoration - but before chalk paint. And Albert is definitely cabbage Patch Person. ♥️I mean, impossibly cute!!

Hey lovely, yes I will be painting the top part and using and shelving in my crafting room/summerhouse. I was so gutted when I found out it was too tall it wouldn’t strap to the wall. So when Albert is older I can have it completed without the worry of it falling on him xxx 😘 Thankyou babe 🥰❤️

Beautiful job on the dresser. You could use a couple of coats of Danish oil on the bare wood top ( It's not varnish btw ) it will bring a slight lustre to the wood and make it look even and natural xxx Albert is gorgeous bless xxx
