I had a shave and haircut every weekend in youngson Seoul South Korea . Shave every day when I could. 1991-93 I had the pleasure of being a soldier in US army. Finest people I ever been around in my life. You always tipped 2 people. The Barber, and the uniform and boot shining gentlemen. They were proud people. Men would wear a suit and tie to work, put on working clothes for cleaning jobs and put the suit and tie on for the bus ride home. We paid them to do our laundry. We would talk to Korean soldiers to translate for the Barber and laundry man. We worried they weren't paid enough. The barber/laundry man said it was the most money he ever had. They felt important. As every holiday we bought the barber and the laundry guy 2 bottles of what ever whiskey they wanted. My memories of them were testament to the quality people Koreans are. Been 28 years. Koreans are every bit as Honorable today as back when I had the honor of living there for 2 years.
