I still remember when charles told on TV that he tried to donate money to a homeless man but MJ stopped him and contemplated how the homeless man could've worked instead...totally clueless. Sure MJ does charity but still his mentality in interviews still show egocentrical attitudes and usually charity under Nike's guidance as well. Come on Charles, Ali this is the guy who was firm in saying that blacks shouldn't mix with whites and stay pure black. Watch BBC interview with him. Typical Chuck...

Well, it was true at the time. Maybe you are unaware of how bad it was for black people back then, it was pretty bad. I can only describe white people in that time period as "pure evil". Why would you mix with pure evil ?

Why shouldn't we black people don't complain when everybody else does it????Maybe we won't go thru so much bullshit if we just stuck with each other just like every other fuckin race..

Spot on... paying people to have kids... and it's barely enough to get by. I know, because I was one of them kids. I left home at 17, worked my butt off for 33 years and retired at 50. WORK for your money and become wealthy. Don't sit at home and take a pittance to barely survive.

Chuck may be played off as a guy who's not that smart or educated, but I think he's one of the smartest people in America about stuff that matters. He's always said he's not a role model, and I think that everbody can learn alot from this man.

I hear people say things that Charles says in this clip. They may or may not follow through. I am absolutely convinced Charles follows through on his word. He’s no role model, he is the real deal. I really like Charles.

Charles Barkley is one of the greatest human minds out there because he is never afraid to speak what is on his mind. He was given so much shit when he did the 1993 Nike commercial but the balls that it must have taken just to say “I am not a role model. I’m not paid to be a role model. I’m paid to wreak havoc on the basketball court. Parents should be role models. Just because I dunk a basketball doesn’t mean I should raise your kids.”
