He didn't retire, he was re-assigned. Also, Nintendo already took away his role as voicing Wario beforehand.

I think it's fair to say he retired from voice acting. He has a new position but it's entirely different from his previous one.

@@MikeTheGamerGuy Yeah but the way you put it also sounds like he was done working with nintendo. i also heard he is gonna keep going on tours presumably making mario impressions as well.
