I love being introduced to an obscurity with a great number of compositions. It's like being lead into a treasure trove.

This is rather atypical vs what I've listened from Mayer, so far. More subtle nuances, lesser open song, more introverted mood, very sophisticated harmonic turns, played on several tonalities of shadows and mists, while light occasionally shows up, rather shy, to not disturb the peaceful and quiet wave of the lake where I like to pose the perfect location where I'd listen again to this masterwork

i agree with these observations .. no virtuosic devices and a subtle overall feel

This terrific description helped me enjoy the music more as I pictured floating over a deep lake while listening to it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I agree!

Very « bieder-mayer » 😄Jokes aside, beautiful piece in the Field tradition, very delicately played.

Hey Gamma1734, I’m looking to start my own channel of my own music and was wondering what program you use to show the scrolling score. Any direction or insight in this matter would be highly appreciated.

Somehow this reminds me of Austrian aristocratic era castle and the piano in the salon …. Almost like Luchino Visconti like Sweet but with a bit of shade looking into a misty future xoxoxo

It seems that Liszt’s Transcendental Etude no. 3 was inspired by this piece. XD

A sort of indifferent piece. Can’t help but think it lacks something, perhaps it needs moving along at a quicker pace.
@PianoScoreVids3 жыл бұрын
maybe, but it's written as "lento" which is really pretty slow, he didn't write andante which they normally write for nocturnes
@holmespianotuning3 жыл бұрын
@@PianoScoreVids a pity because a slightly faster tempo might bring to life, then again it’s really just a parlour piece. Without wishing to be too critical.
@PianoScoreVids3 жыл бұрын
right tempo choice is always a very difficult thing. since there are no crazy virtuosic passages here this piece is indeed amenable to higher tempo choices , but I think it also works in the tempo presented here.
@holmespianotuning3 жыл бұрын
@@PianoScoreVids at least it’s approachable and was presumably quite commercial? I wouldn’t mind printing it off and having a play through.
@MrGino7142 жыл бұрын
Totally disagree. The piece is totally meant to be slow and articulate. I just hate interpreters who speed up the melody part or the easiest portion where staying compsed gives all its beauty to the piece. Please just stay at playing Banjo.
