Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was lucky enough to see Charles several times at the Plush Room. To see this show once again is absolutely miraculous. I am a huge fan. There is even a tribute to Charles in my home complete with a mannequin wearing one of his dresses. If there is anyway to get an actual copy of this, I would be more than happy to make an arrangement with you. Thank you again. You have made my day, week, month and year.

THX 1KK (Thanks a million) for posting this! The hotel and the Plush Room hold many fond memories for me, who spent weeks every year on business in the city from the ‘70s to the ‘00s. I remember that Charles on occasion called it “the Tush Room at the Yuck Hotel.” My ex and I often enjoyed your wonderful work at L’Étoile, Masons & other venues.

Back before Height Street and the summer of love. Back before the Castro. A big part of my brief San Francisco experience was Pierce at the Gilded Cage on a swing singing "San Francisco, open your golden gate......" Or is my memory totally inaccurate? Help.

Quite accurate. I was there, too. Charles was a significant influence in my life as a performer!

I liked Charles but he had a show that never really changed much? a few things got added/updated/taken out but the show was basically always the same? Characters were always the same and the same jokes a couple new ones here and there and if the Celeb was still around or had some type of recent Headline?. For his time period, he was considered at the top of the field and with only one or two other people competing at the time. I give him a lot of credit for doing it at his age and trying to be consistent and relevant. I think he would've been much more successful had he perfected many of his characters and was willing to do a wider range of characters and not always focusing on just a few?. He'll always have a place in LGBT history, he earned it.
