Alkan was so creative and innovative mainly in terms of structure, rythms and harmony!

Damn I've never heard of this composer before you've been taking about him. Like 1-2 month ago me would've not known who this is lol. Thank you for sharing this with us! :D

You should definitely look into Alkan! He's very underrated but has found a lot of fame in modernity because of pianists like Hamelin, Maltempo, Jack Gibbons, and Ronald Smith. I have a video of his Concerto for Solo Piano which is arguably his most famous work. His Le Festin d'Esope is also very much worth checking out too :)

I think the label has been bought, and I don't remember by whom so i'm not sure if they changed the name, but Hyperion has released a LOT of cds with his music, as has Brilliant Classics (which I think released a box set?)

The third one is so spectacular, the slow parts are so beautiful and the prestissimo parts are so earwormy and exciting, especially at 16:22 .

Wow this is an incredible discovery! Indeed all three are really "pleins de bravoure", and the playing as well. The part starting at 15:18... 😎👍

oh wow, the coda to that 3rd scherzo! Love it. I've heard it before, but I thought it had a title? Huh.

upload ありがとうございます。 Harpsichord で弾いたら、どうなるか、ふと興味が湧きました。やっぱりピアノが良いですね(高音部が優しいので)。 聴いてみて、演奏が少し緊張しているかも知れません。
