"Free Bass" I was never interested in the bass. Playing root notes felt boring and uninteresting to me. But about three years ago, I came across Charles Berthoud’s performances, and that changed everything. His playing is unique, captivating, and full of soul. It inspired me to pick up the bass and start playing. My goal is to master all of his songs, and one day, I dream of performing alongside him. Thanks to his music, I was able to overcome a period of depression and find direction in my life. Even now, when times are tough, I listen to and play his music to get through each day. I’ve even dreamt of performing with him, and I admire him deeply. Although I already have a bass, owning one with his autograph would mean the world to me. Charles, you are truly the best!

I had the pleasure of watching Mohini perform at her album release show. There were only about 15 of us in the audience, and I was sat right in front of Mohini in a comfy chair. I talked with her afterwards, and she signed her album for me. Very nice in person - she admitted a lot of her songs are written about her love of food 🙂.

Great vid, bro. Mohini has been a favorite of mine for years. Eric Czar probably owns the most real estate in my memory throughout the years, though. Nandi Bushell, Davie504, Ellen Alaverdyan (Ellenplaysbass), and yourself, are my favorites to watch now days. (All for independent reasons). To be quite honest, I've never had any desire to play bass. I had always played guitar and piano. Until watching you.... You were the one...
