Hi, Andrew here, thank you for your seamless content. However, I need help with Logic Pro sound library download. When I download the basic or any of the additional sound libraries, it says failed in the end, I also get a notification that I check my internet yet I have a very stable internet connection. When I try to access the sound library from the logic window, there's a lot not downloaded and when I try also to download one by one, it will still not work. What can I do to solve that problem? Thank you.

Your coverage has been more helpful than ANY of the Logic Pro X posts I've watched. NOW...if only I could learn how to transfer MIDI sequences from my old Yamaha QX-5 and incorporate my tone generator (Yamaha TG-33) into Logic... If you have any ideas or can recommend another source, it would be a blessing.

I actually liked the video but a down thumb seems to be the only way to get ANYONE'S Attention on KZbin. I've recently switched to MacOS after being a Windows user since 1987. All I'm seeking is a means of using the thousands of dollars of plugins in Logic Pro. It's as if Apple doesn't want you to know. I'm very well educated both musically and engineering wise, both hardware and software yet I can't figure out how to point logic to a plugin on a $4k M1 MacBook Pro Max. What is wrong with me. I chose you for this question as you seemed on top of things. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Bill

40:20 for those of you who are still yet to watch this and don't know much music theory, when Charles refers to 1/4 notes, he mistakenly hovers over it 1/16s. Each beat is a 1/4 note, meaning 23 1, 23 2, 23 3 and 23 4 all mark the 1/4 notes, and the small grid lines in between depict the smaller increments.

Wow...extremely thorough...I've been using Logic since v2 and there were all sorts of little featuresI hadn't noticed. The wonder of Logic for me is the fact that there are so many ways to do any particular thing; but this (I suspect) puts a lot of people off! If I have one criticism it's that I would have liked to have heard the track a bit more for illustrative purposes - but you were really hurtling through the tutorial To be fair you could take 100 hours and still not completely cover it Nice one, cheers

The NUMBER 1 best tip out of all 50 was commit track. It mentally allows me to move on when a part is good enough (but your brains telling you just oneee more tweak or eq again) which has led to hours spent tweaking and overthinking TINY insignificant details 😂 Your the best for timestamping each subject, I can scroll through and find exactly what I need at the moment!

Minor point of information: The design purpose of SMPTE lock isn't to protect from accidents-tho that's perfectly valid; I use it for that, too. SMPTE is Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, the standards body for film & video. SMPTE lock refers to SMPTE time code, used to synchronize audio and video. So SMPTE lock is intended to lock some audio cue to a specific time code to sync to the video. (It also gets used more broadly to synchronize things, like say, a fireworks display). So if you find yourself working with video, with a cue sheet, you know what to do! Anyway, impressive video; I've been using Logic for a decade, and I'm learning various things I hadn't noticed. Not just that, but actually useful ones.

I own Logic Pro but I’m primarily a Cubase user these days. However, I have to give you props for creating this video. I have no idea why this is on my feed but I do know that you put a lot of work into this video. It should serve you well in the future. Thanks for taking the time to do this for those who use Logic Pro X. I may open it up and check some of these out soon.

Thank You, and bravo for a very well- structured presentation. Really must have been a lot of prep to get there. Much Appreciated. I started years ago in the Analog realm, then in Pro Tools, and no matter what I know, there's 100 features I intend to get to one day. Since a DAW in utterly non- dimensional, it's so hard to get 1/4 of the features in WORKING MEMORY. Even if they were once used daily when pushing sliders, twisting knobs, and recording with our EARS. Your choice of material here was great, as I can see it's useful to beginners and veterans, and that's really good judgement on your part. Well done! Being a wearer of every hat by necessity, I really appreciate work like this.

Regarding tip 55: The difference between saving as a channel strip setting and a perfomance setting is that you can access a performance setting via midi e.g. from a button on you midi keyboard. It is a classic Logic feature. Logic has always been king of Midi. 😊

Amazing work, Charles. So many helpful tips in the video, especially for a Logic Pro beginner like me. I loved the tips and tricks in particular a lot. Thanks so much! You may already be aware of it now, but in case not, for 1:45:51, you could use Shift + Option + Mouse Scroll Wheel for horizontal zooming instead of using your trackpad. Also, Shift + Mouse Scroll Wheel helps in horizontal navigation. Moving the Mouse Scroll Wheel only does vertical navigation, obviously.

This is an amazing video! I think you misunderstood the on/off track header button. I think it's like "mute" but fully stops Logic from processing that track, whereas mute is still processing it. When I have a lot of tracks that I'm not using, usually muted because they were just takes or scraps of audio that I'm slicing up, Logic starts to be unable to play so I turn those tracks off instead of muting them.
