Soooo, what is YOUR TOP 3 cycling bibs? Let me know in the comments below :)
@johnandrews35683 жыл бұрын
My top bibs are 1. Q365 Salopette Dottore, 2. Assos Cento and 3. Assos NeoPro. But I would also give super high marks to Jakaroo (mine are Reggie branded), BioRacer, Monton, Nalini. Rapha Core are good but IMO their pro level not worth it. I also picked up a pair of Chaise bibs over the winter and yet to ride in them as they are definitely a 25C+ kit only.

1. Endura Pro SL II. 2. Assos Mille ... Did 260 km and 4.800 elevation m in Endura bibs (in a day) and they are just fantastic. Chamois goes over Assos one. But when we speak about bibs we should consider our saddles also. My Specialized Romin goes perfectly together with my favourite bibs. Isadore, Rapha, Gobik and Galibier are on my "wish to try list".

I'm considering ordering 7 mesh MK3 Bibs (live in Sweden but was available here). Checked out their sizing guide and the only two measurements are waist and thigh. According to that chart I should have size S. I am 182 cm and weigh 77 kg however so seemed weird with S. Also have a long torso. Worried about the bib straps digging in on size S. On the only other bibs I own I had to go up to L size because of the straps. I could wear the M and even S if not for the straps on those bibs. But those bibs were of poor quality however. Maybe different with better bibs? So how elastic are the straps for 7 mesh?

My first bibs was Castelli Volo. I’ve tried different saddles, but the KISS chamois wasn’t great at all. Then Castelli Mondiale, Premio and Inferno. The materials are great but the chamois Progetto X2 it’s a no go for me. Then I’ve tried Rapha Classic and Core. Classic it’s a little baggy for me, but are ok, I’m using in chill or cool mornings, but Core bibs was a fail tbh. I’ve changed to Assos Equipe S7. Since then all my bibs are Assos Equipe, different models. I have 4 or 5, just love them. Around 140-160€ with discount. I’ve road 315km in 10 hours without a problem, in one day. My top it’s Assos Equipe S7 with purple chamois, then Equipe with the black chamois, then the Rapha Classic. I didn’t try Assos Mille which are less expensive than Equipe, around 110-130€, PNS bibs (I heard they are great), or Sportful Fiandre. I have a few friends using this models. Hope it helps!

My best bibs are Santini Redux...amazing Chamois, and the most comfortable and soft straps at $A400 I’ve only got one pair lol. Material is claimed to give aero gains, the material is certainly different to others and grips are awesome too. Second place is Santini Tono which are designed for hot weather, same chamois as the Redux. Third is the Knights of Suburbia club bibs, not sure who they’re made by but somewhere in China I believe. Chamois is quite thin but surprisingly good...rode 5 hours in them yesterday no problem

Only bibs I've actually used are The Black Bibs which are amazing for the price and my go to for longer rides. Also love my assos bibs but they are the Mille range which I think is their cheapest so while they feel great the chamois doesn't hold up for those really long days. Wish more companies would make taller sized bibs though.
@johnandrews35683 жыл бұрын
I'm 198cm... no issue with bib sizing. What do you mean 'taller sizing.' I wear XL in almost every brand and have no issue at all.
@fa1coner3 жыл бұрын
@@johnandrews3568 straps being too tight over shoulders. If you're more leg and less torso it's not an issue. The black bibs make a tall size (adds 2" of inseam and 2" strap length). Assos XLG size gives a little extra length too.
@johnandrews35683 жыл бұрын
@@fa1coner I'm evenly proportioned and never had an issue with straps. XLG assos is too big for me around the waist/torso as I weigh 81kg. That said, easy to add a couple of inches of material to the straps to ensure the shorts fit right and the straps don't bind. That's what I'd do if I had to.

Very helpful. But you didn't compare Castelli, Pearl Izumi, Rapha, Assos and several other big name brands.

No doubt this is good information. Not easy to understand each of the bibs names as you called them out. Even the captions didn't make it easy to find these. I thought that there were be a summary of the reviews with a list of those that you tested...nope! I have used two of the names you used in the captions to identify the bibs and couldn't find either.

Missing In action: Eliel Capitan, Eliel Diablo, Eliel Soledad, by a quick glance looks like they use the same chamois as your favorite 7mesh! (Eliel says capitan might be even better)

I don't really know of Eliel, I'll check it out!

I rode 4 1/2 hours in the Neopro shorts last week. Far better fit, more comfortable and a third of the price of PMCC. I guess it all depends on body shape
@CharlesOuimet3 жыл бұрын
great! Neopro was fine for short indoor ride, but it's no where near the fit or comfort of the PMCC. yes one third of the price, thats great for new cyclists,
@discbrakefan3 жыл бұрын
I agree Neil, I have two pairs of Neopro and I think they are nice material and comfortable. I did find it took a few rides for the chamois to wear in before they became comfortable, but they last aaages.

Great video ! Thanks for sharing although it would have been nice 1 - to have your size for each bibs to get a reference point for sizing 2 - that you list all the links ordered by rank :)
