Do you know how much this warms my heart? Im a life long Charlestonian, and my family was a founding family. Its amazing to see everyone saying how much they love Charleston. Its making me appreciate my city so much more seeing it through your eyes.

Is your family from SOB or the outskirts? I am also born and raised so just wondering what area was founded by your family. Best wishes.

Except for the incredibly sad BBQ at 34:40 this was an amazing video and I look forward to visiting this city next spring or summer. Fort Sumter is also on my list.

Thank you! Not sure, why the BBQ was sad 🙃, but yes, you should definitely visit all. It's a great city!

Never been there but I know that the streets are not cobblestones but made of ballast stones from the old ships.

Well, they are stones, and for the USA they are very difficult to walk on, and their sidewalks are awful

Did you walk everywhere? Does a person need to rent a car? Where did you stay, or did I miss that part?

You can walk everywhere in that area. Yes, we didn't have a good experience with the airbnb we stayed in, and that's why it wasn't listed.

For Downtown area, you can walk or get a pedi-cab. Anywhere in else in the low country I recommend Uber. Source: I live here

I was there over my birthday weekend, beginning of May. Beautiful city ❤️ I enjoyed great food, history, sightseeing, rooftop restaurants, ghost tours, etc. Be sure to checkout their new International African American Museum. It's an incredible Museum and quite large. Charleston does an excellent job on educating the public.

Charleston has homeless like the majority of cities in america and around the world. Is there a question in that NO homeless comment. When we travel we usually don't make it a point to visit the homeless. What a very strange comment to a wonderful couple enjoying themselves in the Chuck.
