Starting a business, whether it be black owned or not... is not creating wealth. Not without the necessary time required to generate wealth from a business. In fact, most businesses barely take in a profit the first decade or so, as the fiscally responsible thing to do is to pay off, or at least pay down your debts and expenses. If your business can survive through that then you typically can significantly increase profit margins moving forward from that point, or sell the business if successful for a substantial profit. However, most businesses fail within the first 18 months of opening. If blacks want to create more individual and generational wealth... they should stop throwing away rent money every month, regardless whether it be low income based... move out of the urban cities and buy property in rural and suburban areas... preferably rural areas on the edge of Suburbia, as the suburbs are always expanding outward... which only stands to increase the value of any rural property when Suburbia attempts to expand beyond it. Paying $200-600/month rent for a single level two bedroom apartment is still a far worse investment than a $1200-1500 monthly mortgage payment. At least you eventually own the house and property... you just throwing away that rent money forever.
