I am a Black conservative woman who supported President Trump in three elections. I agree with most of what Charleston is saying. The democratic party crippled a once innovative and financially and socially independent people. Before converting to the democratic party, Blacks were forced to operate our own schools, maintain grocery stores and build our own banks, POST SLAVERY!! Our thriving communities (for example, Tulsa, Oklahoma) posed such a threat to the true racist (The democratic party) that they lobbied to get Blacks to accept a new form of slavery, welfare. Due to the stipulations of welfare such as income/asset restrictions and no man in the house rules, the Black families started to breakdown. This led to destabilization of Black communities and decreased drive, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Many Blacks are stuck mentally thinking that the Republican party are the racist. The fact of the matter is racism occurs independent of political party; individuals chose to be racist. Furthermore, Republicans might not aim to "do anything" for Blacks; however, they won't hinder us like the democratic party aims to do. I try to provoke independent thought based on facts, not what the media is teaching folks to think. We have to wake up
