Absolutely love Charlestown, we have holidayed here every year for the last 30 odd years. Such a historic place!! My great grandma was Cornish and I have always felt its pull. She came to Yorkshire when she fell in love at 18, such a love story ! Thank you for this video, I loved it , and a Happy New Year to you and your family x

Another one of my fav spots is Charlestown, also Carlyon Bay, that was well known for the entertainment centre ‘The Coliseum’ in the 80’s (sadly demolished now, no sigh left of it) and remember the ship wreck that was built on the beach for a film Dracula (1979)

Interesting explore mate! The battery was impressive too. The chimney in Charlestown is for the clay dry, clay was taken down through the tunnels and loaded onto ships. Must of been a cold ride on the bike to Charlestown mark!🥶

@@kernow..exp. Think they had a bad fire at that dry back 20 years ago, so some of the other dries in st Austell area are more original than that one.
