Pro Tip: In Photoshop, convert your image layer to a Smart Object first, then apply the Camera Raw filter. This way you can go back and make adjustments to the image if the Stamp filter doesn't give you the desired results.

My comment is about the speed of this tutorial. Excellent. You don't waffle on. You say only what needs to be said. Some other tutes of this complexity can be 20m long. If I was following this to learn how to do this I would just pause and go back when needed so I could follow the steps. Well done.

05:58: the reason why it is smaller when you paste it is that - although you have the same pixel dimension for your PSD and AI documents, your PSD has a high dpi setting. It can be 3000 pixels but only 4 inches, or 7 inches, or more. When you paste it, Illustrator places it at its size. It's not a big deal but if you need to repeat this operation, make sure you set your dpi lower (unclick "resample" when you change your dimensions)

This was more helpful than you could imagine. Every time I make a design I run into a problem. I cannot delete the white back ground to create a png. I’ve always vectorized the image then went into photo shop and deleted all of the white manually with the magic wand tool. Such a long process that I’ve had to go through several times. Now that I know this information, it will save me so much time. Very helpful video thank you, I get the same vibes here as I did in photo shop class

interesting, been using gimp for years via add-alpa-channel+fuzzy select by color and delete; might have to re-try photoshop to see if its easier/quicker in workflow. Largest issue is the lack of centerline tracing; but for most part I use lightburn trace function.

You can adjust the speed of videos. Just go to the gear shape on the bottom right of the video (looks like a flower to me, lol) and click to see "Playback speed". You can increase or decrease speed there. When I watch tutorials I like to slow it down so I can absorb what's being said.

I guess I'm old school. My method is desaturate, adjust contrast, threshold, select black, create work path. then export paths to Illustrator. It takes some time but once in AI you gotta figure out what paths are what and what to remove. I'll try this way, thanks!

Also in photoshop (in Ai as well), you can make a version or a stroke which is a bit more rounded and not as jagged as the "raw" outline. to get a bit more of a stamp or a patch look.
