She never said that was her man (which he wasn't), but she never denied they had some form of involvement at some point. But the truth is, he took advantage of a young woman he signed. Like most of these industry men do. The reason he's still salty and upset today, is because he no longer has control of Ashanti. Once she hooked up with Nelly and got into a relationship with him, that's been a soar spot for Irv ever since. And that's been since 2003, a year after she was signed to Murder Inc. And now her and Nelly are back together (after being on and off for years), hence why Irv is once again salty.

The Federal Indictement that Murder Inc was in played its part as a huge strategic factor for 50 and his G-unit label to benefit from. 50 took advantage of that. When Murder Inc couldn't release music as a result of the Indictement, 50 released diss tracks upon diss tracks aimed at Ja rule. Since Rule was loyal to Irv Gotti and Murder Inc, he had to wait until the indictement was over so that Murder Inc can be given the greenlight to continue releasing music. During this "wait" period is when fans thought that Ja rule was scared of 50 and they begun to switch sides. Remember, the Feds approached Interscope as well during the Murder Indictement period and they told the Interscope Execs that they should not in any way engage with Murder Inc up until the indictement was over. Interscope was the one distributing Murder Inc's records, so when the Feds interferred with that, it hurt Murder Inc's progress in the music scene as well as financially. No distributing agencies would fuck with Murder Inc during the Indictement period and this seriously hurt Murder Inc. When I hear people say that it was 50 that ended Ja rule's career, I laugh because that is nothing but a big lie. The Feds ended Murder Inc, not 50.
