What really struck me about this song is how fun the lyrics are; there’s lots of wordplay in the first verse and satisfying rhyme patterns, also there’s a sharp edge to the writing that makes it even more interesting. Charli’s songwriting perfectly captures that “Spring Breakers”/“The Bling Ring”/“Valley of the Dolls”/Harmony Korine/‘90s Gregg Araki vibe.
