I love it when he talks about his son. That’s all Dan Markel wanted Charlie was to raise his sons. Now neither of you will. Dan’s sons will eventually recognize that their dad sacrificed his life to love them and yours will know you’re a cold blooded killer who sacrificed him. Rest well in jail.

@@dallasharlow4431lol he's in complete denial. Blaming everyone and I mean EVERYONE involved in his case...the jurors weren't listening, the media lied, the prosecution was out to get him,witnesses had scripted testimony, blah blah blah...instead of the actual reasons he's in for life: he committed murder and then further sealed his fate with that ridiculous unbelievable fairytale testimony that he told the jurors when he had the chance to take the stand. If any1 is even partially to blame in contributing to his life sentence, it's the person that supported his crime in the first place and likely planted the idea to begin with...HIS OWN MOTHER. @dormiebasne3578 I can believe that, but I also wondered if Rashbaum REALLY wanted to be seen. If he won, he’d be a rockstar lawyer and could charge clients even more. If he lost, it was a doomed case to start and at least his name got out there.

Of course his story was idiotic. BUT, what alternate explanation could have been given w/all the evidence the state had against him-the witnesses, the text msgs, the wiretaps, the emails, the stapled $, etc etc. Honestly, I think his attny did all he could w/the horrible set of facts he had.
@tommybrown9534

@@maryb6672I agree...they knew he paid the hitmen..so he had to figure out a way to admit that, but say that he did it under duress n that he was forced to pay. Which may have worked, if he didn't keep giving Katy gifts, even forcing her to accept more and more from him lol..and then of course, continuing to treat her as if she was the best thing in his life (instead of treating her as the one who just single handedly destroyed his life). So yea, the defense was just ridiculous. Completely unbelievable. Honestly, he woulda had a better chance of just saying he only wanted Dan roughed up, to scare him..but unfortunately things got outta hand. But bottomline, ANYTHING woulda been more believable than what he actually said on the stand
@maryb6672
@maryb6672 11 ай бұрын
@@tommybrown9534 I agree 100%. Certainly it would have been more believable if he’d said he hired them to just rough up Dan. BUT, that would still result in a felony murder charge, which is a life sentence. If you willingly participate, conspire in a felony (Aggravated assault for ex) & someone dies, you’re guilty of felony murder. He was screwed regardless of his defense. Might have maintained a bit more dignity but life in prison regardless.
@tommybrown9534
@tommybrown9534 11 ай бұрын
@@maryb6672 yea I know how that works..if some1 dies while you're commitng a felony, u get hit with felony murder charges. But that's a waaaay different sentence than for premeditated Intentional murder 1..which is automatic life with no parole if convicted. And I say that because if he WAS charged with felony murder instead of Intentional homicide, he may have just taken a 20 year plea (knowing all that evidence would convict him) instead of taking the Intentional homicide to trial and potentially losing, earning him an automatic life with no parole.n yes I agree..the evidence against him was just stacked so high, there's no way he'd be able to overcome it and explain all the evidence away.

Every call is Adelsons constant reference as to how his case is being followed by so many (Tallahassee, America, and the World!). Perhaps. Not because it's an exclusive crime, but because the crime was perpetrated with such foolish imprecision. This recorded jail call is an example of the crime teams continued folly.

The jury doesn't need to deliberate if they all vote the same on the first round of vote. The jurors independently sat and listend to all the evidence. Deliberations only happen when it is needed. I'm guessing an Adelson has never served on a jury. They likely work to prevent themselves from doing so.

Ok Charlie for your appeal trial this will be your defence: You were just looking for someone "to rough up " Dan Markel.You never intended to have him killed.You later realized that Garcia had killed him whom you had an enmity with and was asking for more money through Katherine Macbanua. You regret the fact that Dan Markel was killed who had a right to live.and be with his two children .You feel very bad for this unexpected tragedy. Maybe this way your sentence will be far reduced and someday you maybe eligible for parole.Go with your gut.
