So yea, the defense was just ridiculous. Completely unbelievable. Honestly, he woulda had a better chance of just saying he only wanted Dan roughed up, to scare him..but unfortunately things got outta hand. @maryb667211 ай бұрын
@@tommybrown9534 I agree 100%. Certainly it would have been more believable if he’d said he hired them to just rough up Dan. BUT, that would still result in a felony murder charge, which is a life sentence. If you willingly participate, conspire in a felony (Aggravated assault for ex) & someone dies, you’re guilty of felony murder. He was screwed regardless of his defense. Might have maintained a bit more dignity but life in prison regardless.
@tommybrown953411 ай бұрын
@@maryb6672 yea I know how that works..if some1 dies while you're commitng a felony, u get hit with felony murder charges. But that's a waaaay different sentence than for premeditated Intentional murder 1..which is automatic life with no parole if convicted. And I say that because if he WAS charged with felony murder instead of Intentional homicide, he may have just taken a 20 year plea (knowing all that evidence would convict him) instead of taking the Intentional homicide to trial and potentially losing, earning him an automatic life with no parole.n yes I agree..the evidence against him was just stacked so high, there's no way he'd be able to overcome it and explain all the evidence away.

The jury doesn't need to deliberate if they all vote the same on the first round of vote. The jurors independently sat and listend to all the evidence. Deliberations only happen when it is needed.
