To all those people writing that a Land Rover would to this easily: 1. You don´t get a working Land Rover for the money 2. Land Rover is a company, not a car so be more specific 3. Landrovers like a Defender or first gen Range Rover or Discovery only have a locking center diff so on this kind of terrain they can´t just walk up as easily as many people here think and if there is anything you can´t do with any Land Rover that would be beating on it. If you tried to jump it like this while staying on the thottle all axle shafts would just snap instantly.

+Keine Namen I had a discovery 1, it was suprisingly tough. stood up to some serious treading of water. the party you said about "saying on the throttle would snap axles shafts" is totally bullshit. They have VERY strong axles and can take much more power than the engine is capable of producing. The diffs, transmission and (when its locked) center diff are very american in how overkill they are. they're capable of some pretty crazy articulation, and with some good lockers and tires they are every bit as capable as any jeep or whatever. Mine was EXTREMELY reliable, had a good running and sounding v8, and was fun to drive. I kind of miss that thing, it was badass. I had a 3 inch lift and a truetrac rear diff, as well as some big meaty off road tires. It would go anywhere the jeeps would go, and was a good truck altogether... There is some bs that people are saying. Stock? well with street tires and heavyness sure they arent as good as jeeps but once you get some effort into them they are every bit as reliable, strong and capable. :)

+Keine Namen Land rover defenders are pretty beastly. Around 300 lbft of torque in something the size of a wrangler and it`s made to go up 47 degree approach angle. The Defenders are used around the world by militaries and have been for their entire life. They take heaps of abuse. Look at the way third world countries keep them rolling for ungodly amounts of time. The axles are comparable to the XJ axle. They can handle the abuse of the motor that they have (which varies old Rovers top out at 55mph and have anemic diesels but they crawl well! That being said, spot on with number 1. They`re expensive and you can`t even get new ones into the country. The ones that are here, are owned by rich snobs who don`t use and abuse them.

I used to be neighbors with the original owner of that jeep he originally paid 400 for it and it was like new! He took off the doors and painted r/t in it meaning river taxi then he put nos in it and man that thing would nake it through anything then he sold it to the neighbor up the street its pretty weird seeing this thing on youtube it brings back soo many memories:)

Just less pressure and finding the right strategic line to run, instead of aimlessly beating the fuck out of it, he would've had no problems. I'm on open diffs and half bald tires, and I could do that... bone stock. It's incredible that extra traction you get from the increased tread surface aired down.

Jeeps are beast off road vehicles... Though i don't do trails i've enjoyed its ability in snow had a 1 of snow had my 99' Cherokee sport.. threw in 4x4 put it in reverse let my foot off the break and it just pulled right through the snow without any gas.. Almost got stuck in a ditch once.. yeah... No trouble awesome vehicle.. cant wait to get a wrangler ^^

Just bought a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 automatic for $400 perfect running and driving and cut out the fender wells and stuffed cheap dry rotted bloggers I had and me and my buddy's derbied the hell out of it just as this guy did and took down trees and all. Just sold the engine today for $450 we made a $50 profit had the time of our lives and still have a jeep chassis for whoever wants it. I'd buy another any day of the week!
