Because politicians are allowed to get away with troubled, corrupted dealings if they con the rest of the voting public enough into voting them into power. Look at Trump. He's a convicted felon and yet, as President, he can't be thrown in jail. Pierre is trying to do the same thing. And any Canadian that votes for Conservatives should really question their sanity if they actually want a Prime Minister who can't or won't get security clearance. Would they accept Trudeau not getting security clearance? Would they accept Jagmeet Singh not getting security clearance? What are the standards for being Prime Minister if not, at least, being able to get security clearance as a world leader?!

How can anyone seriously support the Liberals' ridiculous talking point about Pierre not having security clearance when it’s completely irrelevant to the issues that actually matter? It’s absurd to focus on such a trivial detail while ignoring the real problems facing Canada. Trudeau's supporters are falling for this nonsense because they’re either willfully ignorant or too blinded by party loyalty to think critically. There’s a reason Pierre hasn’t rushed into this-it’s about more than just a simple checkbox. Yet, here we are, with Trudeau’s base mindlessly parroting talking points that only serve to distract from the real issues. It’s embarrassing how easily some people can be misled.

@@PercyY-ib2vx your failure to think for yourself is unfortunate. MANY people do not support Trudeau AND also do not support Pierre and the Cons. Do you understand how people can both not support Liberals or Conservatives because they have failed Canada for 150+ years? What do you think the most insane thing Canadians could do next time they vote? Vote in Conservatives again, like they always have done back and forth for 150+ years, playing ping-pong with Liberals. Enough already. It hasn't worked.

Have you seen what has happened in Argentina since the election of Milei? Huge austerity and anti-freedom measures put in with the guise of 'we need to cut to afford the future spending' but what has it done? "Since Argentina's far-right president came into power over 50% of Argentinians have been sunk into poverty." Federal governments don't operate like personal or municipal government budgets. Get with the modern times. 1Dime did a in-depth video essay on this called "The Deficit Myth: The Biggest Lie in Politics." It should free your mind of the fear of deficit and the cry for austerity.

"The Deficit Myth: The Biggest Lie in Politics" by 1Dime is essential viewing for anyone who wants to stop cheering for austerity because of the false idea that 'we have to' or 'federal government is like a household.' NO, federal government is NOT like a household budget. That is part of the biggest lie. And you are buying it. To your own demise. The rich will destroy the planet for profiteering interests far before federal debt will ever be 'paid off'. Please stop drinking the conservative Kool-Aid. It's not healthy for ya. I wish you well. Right now the debt is so bad just the interest rate is the equal the federal health transfers, which means most of tax payers money goes to the debt.
