CHARLIE IS THE BEST THING THAT CAME OUT OF THE SHOW! he showed the best character arc, the kindness and hope the show needed, the only one who pulled them out of every situation.. (planting against monty, which I believe was the most important part in the whole conspiracy and he suggested how to convince parents to get back prom), The ray of optimism Alex needs after all the suicide and murder.. And yeah.... Cookies too!

its so amazing what they did with his character. for a while in season 3 he was sort of turning into monty and they showed with the right role models and showing of right and wrong you can make a lovely respectful young man.

Charlie is the example of what happens when you make the right choices. Every other character he was like had choices, and most picked the wrong one. Monty had the choice to stand up to his homophobic dad and not hurt people. Whereas Monty gave into fear and hatred, Charlie chose to hold onto the kindness and face his fears. One of which is evidently Jess.

I like Jess as a character... but am I the only one who thinks Charlie being afraid of Jessica wasn't actually funny? Jessica was horrible to him. *1. She campaigned to ban male sports at school* *2. Made him uncomfortable at job saying that she's judging him by her friends and reminding him that she's older* *3. Literally forced him to to go to the Dance with her, fully knowing that he's uncomfortable and scared that it'd mess up his friendship with Justin* This is hypocritical because Jess is that one who talks about consent all the time, and here she is forcing a guy younger than her to go on a date with her. *4. She ditches him at the Dance.* So she's the one who forced him to go there in the first place, and then SHE ditched him? What a terrible move. Edit: *I rewatched the Crestmont scene and realized that Jess did not remind him that she's older to make him uncomfortable, she was just stating facts. Sorry for the mistake.*

Yeah, no, tbh, I didn’t think it was funny either. But considering the circumstance where Charlie freaked out about going to the dance with her, I just wanted to make this something light-hearted, cuz I was inspired by something light-hearted, if that makes sense? I just don't like it when people normalize things like forcing people to go on dates and making them uncomfortable when the offender is a girl. Can i make a request? Please do some videos of Alex and Jessica's friendship. Alex is the only one she treats like an equal and isn't rude with, and tries to make him feel better whenever he's upset. I can relate to Charlie, I'm friends with people who are considered 'mean', 'slut', 'bully', etc. at school so everyone thinks that I do the same thing as my friends, yes they love going out with guys, flirting and everything. They're just scared of commitments which I am not. They're indeed straight up blunt and they don't filter their words but that's what I like about them, they say what they feel straight to your face unlike the others.
