Guys calm down... He's not being racist, she is actually Asian (in case you didn't realise). I guess the way he said it isn't right, but he's not being racist.

I love how acknowledging someone's ethnicity is suddenly racist.

I assume he is used to the kind of humor he does on its always sunny. I think he said it like that because he knows that she was an important character and is making fun of how inferior he is in comparison. He's slipping into his Charlie Kelly character.

Charlie's sequel sounds like Newt and Otachi on the beach with a pretty girl, sounds like a good movie

100% Agree with everything you said. It amazes me how easily offended people get by something so subtle. Who really cares if he called her an Asian girl. She is an Asian and proud to be one. No offense given. That's like him saying get rid of the little boy. Oh no! He didn't just call the boy little did he!? That's offensive!

After seeing Pacific Rim I forgot about Charlie Day, spent some years trying to remember his name kept calling him the funny Panic dude from Pacific Rim (snapping fingers) If done correctly and not overused Charlie Day can't play any fictional character designed to be a comic relief think Tweek from South Park but upgraded to a laughing riot.😂
@Shishiyanoshyuu10 жыл бұрын
oh my god can we please not with the assumed racial slurs, you guys must rip stand up comics apart

I hardly understood a word said by the interviewer 🤯 English is my first language but for me he just mumbled and raced his way through his questions and did not seemed engaged in anything he asked 🤷🏻♀️

I like how there are literally people who sit on their asses in front of a computer and just get mad at stuff on the Internet. It's like really? You have nothing better to do. Also, news flash: SHE IS ASIAN. O.o Relax people and get a life. He's a comedian.
@LilSayo11 жыл бұрын
Did he just refer to other actors as "handsome dudes"?.. im so offended.
@andressacapuntas952311 жыл бұрын
The dude was just joking around, but the part with him singling her out as "the Asian girl" was pretty weird. He's usually super cool and stuff kinda a little disappointed in him. But I guess that kinda brings out a problem of the movie I hadn't realized before, besides Mako and the Russian lady, there weren't really any other women characters that were important at all. It was just dudes everywhere. I guess maybe that isn't too much of a problem I'm not really sure.

Here's the thing- he calls all the guys- handsome. If he called the her pretty- I'd say in context it fits. But we're annoyed because he singles out her race. Even as a joke, it's distasteful. I'm not saying he's being a complete asshole but it's just unneeded singling out of her race as if that's her main identifier. The Asian girl. Jokes that offend others? Not funny. Just because you're not of the offended party doesn't mean it's not inoffensive.
@SkyIaam11 жыл бұрын
Yes, she's Asian, but he also reduced her to being nothing else than "the Asian girl". It's not hard to refer to her name instead. And "mad at stuff on the Internet"? The Internet isn't a vacuum, neither is white superiority.
