What was NASA's policy on taking souvenirs? How did NASA assign ownership of souvenirs taken from Apollo missions? (how did NASA decide/approve of who got what) Did NASA ever take an astronaut's souvenir and donate it to a museum? (if so which museum got it) What was the most significant souvenir taken by an astronaut? (where is that souvenir now) Did the technicians and ground crew take any souvenirs of their own? (items that were flown into space as well as ground equipment)

@@czarcastic1458 I own tools flown to lunar surface and to orbit that were brought back as souvenirs by the crew. There are also numerous examples of them in museums and private collections. One Google search will show you that

@@czarcastic1458 I have tools and equipment that were flown to the lunar surface and lunar orbit on the Apollo missions and certified by the astronauts as souvenirs from the flight. There is also many flown items in museums and other private collections that you could’ve found out about with one google search. Maybe research the splashdown parties between the Apollo crews.

Wow! All that radioactive moon dust, and they had no problem to properly seal the front hatch and decontaminate the inside of the lunar module. Real shame none of them made a video of a Geiger counter on the moon.
