I love Charlie's comments but he got it wrong on one thing. When the kid asked if the athlete transitioned so that he could become a better swimmer, Charlie should have said no. HE TRANSITIONED because his body, as it WAS, with his biological advantage of being a male, WOULD be naturally BETTER at beating ALL the other women swimmers.

As to the sex and gender argument, if true, then why do "gender affirming" interventions seek to modify the primary and secondary _sexual characteristics_ of the trans identifying person to conform to the _sex_ they belief their _gender_ to be? Smh.

There are people who believe they are dead and rotting. There are people who believe either they or someone they know have been replaced with exact replicas. There are people who believe they are beings of pure energy. There are people who believe they are gods. There are seemingly endless belief systems. Delusional beliefs can be dangerous to the person holding the belief, or to others. Regardless, the belief does not create reality. As objective observations, we can evaluate a person within the context of true reality juxtaposed against a belief system and derive a truth, or diagnostic. We can tell factually that the person who believes themself dead is very much alive. How? Because we have definitions for "alive" and "dead" predicated in medical science and common sense. We can measure biological functions and determine reality. What we cannot do is use these definitions, observations and measurable facts to prove to the deluded person that they are indeed alive. This is why the left contorts themselves trying to change definitions to fit the argument. The level of compartmentalization required to accomplish this is itself a mental health phenomena.

When the gender-is-different-than-sex argument is made, and that is the basis of the transgender rules, then that person should answer the question, "does different mean they are unrelated." If they answer "no," then delve deeper and ask why since one is a belief and one is a physical fact. Furthermore, since the belief is easier to treat, is counseling not the better course to take than mutilating the person's body. If they answer "yes," then ask how would changing the sex, which is immutable but assume that is possible, have any effect at all on the gender since they are unrelated.

Why is it never talked about that natural born men are mainly the ones who want to be in women spaces? You dont hear much about "transgender men" who are fighting to be in men spaces if they identify as a man....i.e. bathrooms, play in men's sports, etc etc. Why isn't this huge difference discussed more often? Even by Kirk? My daughter is a lesbian and dresses like a guy. More times than not she is mistaken for a male... however she does not identify as nothing but a woman. I went to school with someone in kindergarten and high school I was very good friends with her infact found her physically very attractive, but she interacted with me on a masculine bloke male level, this is the 70s in the 80s she identified as a man,now I don't know if she was an hermaphrodite and the parents made her live as female, but I know she/ he was a male in e every part of his soul,although there is biological truth like trillions of chromosomes identifying her as female it's more complex than that my friend p was always a boy.

There's good arguments when it comes to athletes competing that someone born a biological male is going to have an unfair advantage in women's sports but solutions can be found like basing competing groups on height, weight, ability level, etc., like is already done in a lot of sports and despite that it doesn't mean transgender people don't exist.
