Hi Aaron love your videos, we’ve stayed in many of the places you have recommended previously, welcome to the Cooley peninsula in Co Louth, we live locally to Gyles Quay, the beach is sandy and suitable for swimming, there is also a back beach that you can go for long walks. Fergusons restaurant has a great reputation for food. There is also a blue flag beach a 10minute drive away Templetown Beach. Carlingford village is about 7miles away it has a very good selection of restaurants & bars, chemist, butchers & supermarket and has stunning views over Carlingford Lough. There is a local girl Clodagh at Anam tours that does guided walks of the mountain. There is also a car ferry from Greenore that travels across to Greencastle in Northern Ireland for a day trip. Hope you’ll come back up for a visit again. ps Gyles Quay is pronounced ‘Giles-us’ in your best Louth accent 😉 Happy Travels

Great video Aaron. That price is grand for a family who are going to make use of all the facilities, but think it's a bit expensive (& extra for showers) for a couple just using it as a base camp. We spent last weekend at Lough Arrow touring park. It's adults only, really dog friendly, sooo quiet & peaceful, spotlessly clean & the couple who run it are lovely. €30 all in. I do hope Charlie is OK, i missed him too.

Thanks for watching Val Charlie is fine he came camping with me the next weekend all good :) I take you point on the cost and Lynders in Dublin is €40 per night and I agree its costly when just a couple !!!!

Great video Aaron but gosh what a pain with all the delays heading down! Yes the setup at Gyles Quay is really unusual! Not sure if you got down to the little beach below, Charlie would have loved it! Great that you checked it out. Carlingford town is closeby and really beautiful

That costs a fortune compared to France… are all Irish campsites this expensive?
@CharlieandMeOurCampingVlog5 ай бұрын
i dont think its that all the sites are expensive over here its just the cost of living here compared to France & theres a load more sites in France so competition has the price the way it is over there .. There are very few sites in Ireland for less that €30 a night. thanks for watching
