She thinks that Promise is kind of a resolution of Lie - that both are conversations with himself. JK has been a Charlie Puth fan for YEARS - he released a cover of a Puth song in January 2017, "We don't Talk Anymore" for free on SoundCloud. Everytime BTS went to an American music award show, JK always said in interviews that he hoped he could be introduced to Puth at them....I guess it happened finally, because BTS invited Charlie to sing his song with JK and then perform 'Fake Love' with BTS in November 2018 at a Korean music award show. Probably a dream come true for young JK at that time.

I love Jungkook so much! He is super talented & way too humble. I love his huge heart. I think Charlie & him have a lot of chemistry with music because they both have perfect pitch. Jungkook performed with Charlie on Charlie’s We Don’t Talk Anymore back in 2018 at an awards show. There was a behind the scenes video of them working on the performance. Although there was a language barrier you could tell they really got each other musically. They understood each other musically even though they didn’t speak the same language. Also, if you want to tie together your Harry Styles & BTS reactions you should do Harry’s Falling. And then JK’s cover of it. It is a beautiful & emotional song.

It's a fun summer bop and a more fun way to sing about a sad event (someone not being together anymore). JK said it's a good song to listen to in the car; I think he's right about that. Charlie's channel also shared a behind the scenes making of the music video. They're both silly and Charlie is known for having perfect pitch and he said he thinks Jungkook has perfect pitch as well.

Pls check out WHO by lauv ft bts ( jk) lauv wants a solo collab w Jungkook but it didn't happen. Lauv really love Jungkook's parts in who. I wish these two would collab.

I’m gonna be totally honest here Bryan, l like Charlie Puth as a singer and I like many of his songs. This one is not my favorite. Imho JK saves this song. It’s the only reason why I would listen to it. Charlie has better songs like Attention, we don’t talk anymore and the 1st song I ever heard from him, See you again from fast and furious soundtrack.

I really don't like Charlie and I think the song is boring. But i am glad for JK that they did a collab. He seems to be very fond of him and he admires Charlie. The feeling seems mutual and they had fun making the song, so that's the most important to me.

Charlie, perhaps like JK, has perfect pitch and is a brilliant songwriter and has ginormous technical skill...attended Berkley College of Music. It was so much fun to watch Charlie 'compose' this song on tic tok. He often uses tic tok to show how sounds and lyrics come to him....I've found it quite interesting. Up until a few years ago Charlie was mostly a songwriter, but has become more and more popular. The only thing I dislike about Charlie's voice is his vibrato. Props to them both. I hope Charlie will write some songs for JK.

I love your honesty and sincerity with witch you always react to material you are being presented with. Thank you for being you. I have to say its damn rare to encounter someone ( who reacts to BTS) with such refreshingly mature and laid back approach. Loving, supporting and admiring BTS is something that is always pivotal to everything I decide to watch, but all that fake Army-serving exaggerated hyperbolic acceptance of EVERYTHING BTS does or participate in is really something I have grown allergic to. Sorry for ranting, but your reaction was so uniquely different than what I am usually accustomed to, I had to throw in here..... apologies if it offended someone. Its totally cool to say you didn´t have a clue who CP was before Army started to mention him. But he is a great singer. Yes, he is. And Jungkook has been a massive fan of his for years, this collaboration must come as a dream come true. I myself do not care for CP´s work or voice that much but he is a brilliant, talented musician who has been also acknowledging JK´s talent and artistry so them two getting paired like this must have been welcomed. The song is a catchy, simple, cheery and easy going tune, an ear worm, not something I am usually drawn to but I guess it meant another valuable experience for Kookie and therefore also growth to his portfolio. All good then. It is pretty amazing to see how he always and totally organically and with ease accommodates new tunes, new concepts and new visions that are central to the song he is singing, managing to adjust his voice so that it fits the whole picture the producer had in mind. He is natural in it and many professionals praised that quality in him. Can´t wait for more of his work........... would kill to hear him on some groovy, raw, visceral Jimi Hendrix - style guitar heavy tracks, I am growing tired of all sweet, sugary, happy sounding tunes .... girl can always dream.

Hi Bryan. Sorry for the late comment on this one. Ive heard a couple of Charlie Puth's popular songs, but don't really know / listen to his music. I enjoy the production (like the switching from left to right in headphones) and I really like the comedy in the MV - JK on the car windscreen part is brilliant!😆. It's a fun song and I enjoy it when I'm listening to it, but it's one of those songs I can't listen to too much - otherwise it gets stuck in my head (which puts me off wanting to actually listen to it), because it's so repetative and simple musically and lyrically. Lyrics aside, one of the other reasons I really love BTS music as well as music by other Korean groups - particularly my 2 other favourites, Dreamcatcher and TXT, is the music / structure of the songs sounds more complex (compared to a lot of western music) the style/genre can be varied within one song and its generally not repetative. I definetly enjoy JK's voice on this and think his and Charlies sound good together, but I prefer the sound of JKs voice on BTS songs / on his own. Oh and was good watching the sketch with you as I hadn't seen that yet - always love behind the scenes.

Putting JK's English accent in another perspective, the letters F, V, R, and Z don't exist in the Korean language. This is why you will hear: P instead of F (coppee), B instead of V (V's name is actually Bui), R/L is produced by pressing the tip of the tongue to the roof of the mouth, and J instead of Z (Safety Jone). JK is an amazing mimic with that musical ear.

charlies a really good vocalist and writer has a lot of talent however his internet actions turns people away from his music he has many hit radio songs (you may know see you again from fast and furious, we dont talk anymore with selena gomez & attention these songs were big in 2015-2017) but most dont recognize its him due to his online presence with over the top comedy and weirdness. many armys were hesitant and worried about the collab not cause jk wouldnt do a great job but because we didnt know what to expect from charlie. from what we can tell charlie at the very least treated jk well so after seeing jk praise him and being comfortable armys accepted the collab more. we're very wary of western artists collabing with bts cause many have treated bts badly or talked badly later/used them and bts are too nice and respectful to call it out at least publicly. they did mention they were treated differently in the west and felt alienated and like there wasnt a place for them in the american industry but they didnt elaborate on who so it could be anyone from journalists, to show hosts, to celebrities to industry people behind the scenes etc armys standards in western celebrities are chris martin, wale, warren g, megan the stallion, lizzo, becky g, halsey, silk sonic (anderson paak & bruno mars), h.e.r, jon batiste all of these artists treated bts as equals and bts seem so comfortable with them as if any of these artists are another bts member thats how close they look. bts never really hangout with celebrities in korea or the west but they actually hangout with these celebrities especially recently when they were in vegas they posted having fun with them eating dinner playing games like bowling etc bts have been very clearly uncomfortable before and they dont look it with any of these celebrities. charlie was added to this list cause jungkook looked very comfortable with him in the music video shoot some armys are still wary but there comes a point where we gotta let bts just make their own decisions they know were protective and they thanked us for it especially in recent years where we called out the industry and media many times for mistreating them but charlie may deserve a little more idk the word credit or benefit of the doubt. all that being said i actually love this song it gets stuck in my head very often and it fits jungkooks vibe if that makes sense like its different from jungkooks other songs but also fits in a playlist easily with the others idk how to explain it. also jungkook was so adorable in the shooting sketch.

@@bee12117 no hes done many weird things and armys are bts fandom we dont have to like the people bts collab with and when people talk about us in a certain way that generalizes us were allowed to dislike that. but even removing any interaction with army charlie was already widely disliked for other reasons you can look it up if you want. the fandom doesnt just follow what others in the fandom say we all choose to either agree or disagree. you have to get out of this mindset that if someone doesnt do something to bts directly then armys should automatically like them no if someone is already known for being weird or doing something bad armys have the right to not want that person interacting with bts either being uncomfortable cause the type of person that is or because bts would receive more hate for interacting with said person. example : when bts interact with scooter braun armys already didnt like him because of how he treats his artists but besides that because many other fandoms hate scooter bts received hate for even interacting with him so many fandoms like taylor swift fans attacked bts just by association. so armys had many reasons to dislike him being near bts. the same applies for any other celebrity/industry person including charlie. if someone already has a bad reputation armys have to either heavily defend bts from outside fandoms/media even more than usual during those times so we do have a right to say something. if armys dont say anything then who shields bts from the hate? armys rarely start anything of course some do those are usually people who arent even true armys but majority of the time if you see army insult another celebrity or fandom its cause that fandom or celebrity said something about bts and army first or theyre just a bad person and have that reputation already so armys adding or not adding has no real impact regardless. hopefully this makes sense idk how else to explain it just from what i see on twitter armys dont get involved majority of the time unless someone hates on bts. i also saw many charlie fans hating on bts before the collab so that couldve also sparked more commotion from armys.

Honestly, not my type of music normally, but somehow this song is really enjoyable. I find the production great and I also like the fact that Charlie Puth produces his music, that's dope. And respectfully, I think JK and Charlie may be on par in terms of singing abilities, I don't think JK is better, but to each their own of course. Great reaction as usual.
