I remember when this aired. I was about 13. It was huge and I couldn’t wait to see it again. They did air it again before the season premiere and a hit was born. The first season was the best.

I was 11.52% of the audiences in America were tuned in.More than half of America watched.I remember taking one look at Jaclyn Smith an was in awe of her beauty.Waited with baited breath for the series to start with in September. To this day it’s still my all time fave show and I’ve been a loyal Jaclyn fan my whole life.Even got to meet her at Bloomingdales in NYC for the launch of her perfume “California”.🥰❤️😇🙏🏻

No other trio of actresses ever had the phenomenal chemistry that the original series season 1 cast had - on screen and off!!! They just sizzled and when you had any combination of just 2 of them in a scene it was magic but when all three were together - it was something else!!! I think that is why "Angels In Chains" was the most memorable episode because all three ladies were in most scenes together. Especially their escape scenes, when all three were chained to each other, those scenes were divine!! I liked Cheryl Ladd, but sorry - that special palbable magic was not there like it was that first season. The orignal ladies, Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Jaclyn Smith, are and will forever be the BEST and ONLY "Charlie’s Angels” for me and I think I speak for the majority of my fellow Gen Xers who watched this show as kids circa 1976-1977.

Well one thing is for sure! Aaron Spelling was a genius at creating shows! Kate Jackson described it well at the 2006 Emmy's when she reunited onstage with Farrah and Jaclyn and said Aaron gave us the gift in the little blue box, he gave us something safe and comfortable, free from every care and woe..

Fire third banana Jaclyn. Agree. But fire Kate, the woman who created the show? NEVER. Here's why: Kate came up with the show's name, the unknown Charlie, for them being private eyes. In other words: She created the winning concept! Needless to say that she was the first angel cast and she didn't have to do any auditions. Kate was an experienced actress who had starred already in Dark Shadows and The Rookies. Two successful TV shows. Plus a lot of good movies. She was the best actress by far! Two-time Emmy nominee for Charlie's Angels. The only actress on the show who accomplished that. Kate was the most charismatic and a unique beauty with great screen presence. Not an interchangeable Barbie. Farrah was special of course. The phenomenon. But she was replaceable. Sucks that a generic blonde replaced Farrah. But only thanks to Kate Jackson who carried the show. Kate was irreplaceable and that's why Charlie's Angels went downhill fast after she left. Miss Jackson was the show! It would not have seen the light of day without Kate!
