Ah, memories... Me and my first roommate were binging It's Always Sunny and a few episodes before this, I said to my roommate, "Hey listen... you know how gay guys have 'gay-dar' right? Well... as a singer, I'm telling you... Charlie can sing. I've never heard him sing, but I'm just tellin' you... Charlie can sing. You don't get that kind of vocal control and NOT sing. He's 100% a singer. My singer-dar is on the case" My roommate was like, "Naw, he's got a squeaky pitiful voice. Ain't no way he can sing" "Dude, I'm tellin' ya. You don't just develop that kind of vocal control." "Vocal control? He's all over the place!" "Guarantee you he can sing" "Whatever dude" Fast forward just a couple hours, and Charlie starts singing the "Paddy's Bar" theme and I just look at him. He's like, "That's just a coincidence. Also, I could sing that. That was more than an impression than actual singing. You were talking about his range. He can't actually use that high pitched squeaking he's always doing." "Of course he can. You don't work those muscles at the gym. You develop those muscles by singing" "Or talking like a crazy person. He doesn't have any usable vocal range" "You're floundering. Admit I was right" "You're not right." Just a few minutes later, it gets to this scene, and as soon as he gets to "FIIIIIIIIIIGHT" I just pierced the side of my roommate's face with my eyes and he refused to look at me. After the episode ends, he just gets up, and goes to bed without saying a word.
