We love this site especially in autumn & winter. Apart from ultra long hikes and mountain bike trails up through the forest and into the mournes the relatively flat river walk from Foleys Bridge to the Boundary Bridge and back is stunning (gravel paths on each bank most of way). It is regularly used for filming so don't be surprised to see geeks in cloaks with plastic swords on a Game of Thrones tour

It’s a stunning location with loads of forest walks and mountain hikes (if you’re that energetic!😂) starting from the campsite. The seaside town of Newcastle (“where the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea”🎶), with the usual indoor amusements, pubs, cafes, ice cream shops (try Mauds ice cream 😋) & small retail shops is a five minute drive from the site.

Wow, that's a huge site. Looks really nice. Is it open all year?
