Was just there this weekend. No card needed for toilets anymore, there was a code on the door. Agree with your points. Pitches very unlevel, no real kitchen facilities if in a tent or travelling more minimally. Sinks in kitchen but nothing else, not even one plug! But lovely short walk into village. Rostrevor Inn had very tasty, good value food! And onsite cafe/ restaurant was gorgeous to sit on with views over the whole park area and fantastic food.

Great review Aaron. We love Kilbroney and the walk down into Rostrevor village is beautiful. Lots to do with children including the Narnia trail, park, tennis courts etc. The pitches do need updating. Castlewellan Forest Park and campsite is a Newry Mourne and Down council site. It's undergoing a major revamp this year and is well worth putting in your diary for the next time. Looking forward to your Gosford installment next week, we were there last weekend with Camping NI

Was up there for the August bank hoilday for 7 nights £194 about €235 for family of 5 with EHU this is by far the cheapest campsite I've been on. Anywhere in the republic coming in around €385 plus showers for the same period. Its a site I'd definitely go back to lots of walks and mountain bike trails to beat the band. Its only 10 mins walk into rostrevor lots of bars and restaurants.

Think they have a set price per pitch there no matter how many people are on that pitch. It works great for large families but not as good for couples or singles. I fully agree with you that £38 for one night was expensive. Keep up the good work, Aaron. I have gotten a few good sites off your channel that the family loves. We are in a tent. PS It would be great if you could show some more of the tenting areas on sites.

Meant to add our tent set up in no bigger than a caravan and awning. Quick price comparison I priced your favourite the glen of arklow earlier in the year €65 with ehu, 3 kids, xl tent a night, making it by far the most expensive site in ireland. Went to ballinacourty house instead €48 a night.

Hi Aaron, I have to agree with @KrSvan, for families this campsite is great value but other campsites that charge per person can be very expensive for families but much more reasonable for couples. I always check what it would cost us as a family to stay on the sites you review and one night here before the end of August is £30.80 for 2 adults and 4 children, including awning, electricity, dogs and no extra charge for showers. That is fantastic value in my opinion and I wish more campsites would charge per pitch. I think about 90% of campsites in the republic charge per person with additional charges for awning, electricity, dogs and anything else they can think of. I priced the same night at a site in the south and it was €63. Maybe when you are discussing the campsite prices in future videos it would be useful to give the price for a family along with the price you paid so viewers can apply it to their own situation. It's great to see you finding so many different campsites to review. Keep up the good work.

You can use your drone out side there campsite and fly over there ground ,as there is no flight restrictions there .they can't stop you .

That is FACT however I always ask and if the preferer me not to I wont. in saying that I did drone footage of a site I had permission to do & I did it from outside the campsite as it was a better spot for take off & landing AND the campsite owner made me take down the review.... He used the drone footage as an excuse he just didnt like the review........

Just looked online and the cost is £30.80 and not £38. Sorry, had to check as we go here every year and couldn't understand the price you quoted.

yea my mistake it was the 80pence that threw me.. still at £30.80 they need to spend a few bob up grading the site in my opinion and in saying that what a site for families .. thanks for watching
