My mother died four years ago or so. She refused to move from Frayser. She was in a nice secluded neighborhood at least right off of Thomas and behind the now gone Frayser Drive In. I went to school there when it was ok at Frayser. Later on I paid the price of letting my kids go to Georgian Hills Ele. I had to move them and leave our cute house. By then the damage was done. My middle son just barely getting off federal probation gets in trouble again! All the while he covers for the princess who puts him up to robbing a jewelry store in Jackson, TN! He done anything so stupid before thanks to drugs and her bright idea. She is sitting pretty without a thought of him. I will be dead when he gets out of a TN prison now. At least the other two sons are doing ok. One is a tankerman the other did 12 years in the Army. Try Bush Nut area and the very worst part of Frayser. There is more off of Chelsea Ave as well. Poverty and hoods all over this damn country...I got family in South Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Texas and Memphis...everybody has hoods...the government seems blind to this issue...
@joelspivak66225 жыл бұрын
Navybeans95 The Government knows what's happening! What should they do? Fix these shitholes up, and within a couple years, it's back to square one! Jobs are plentiful all over now, these people have to take responsibility for themselves! I grew up dirt poor, my parents could just about put food on the table, no healthcare, poor paying jobs, no welfare or food stamps! I swore I would not let this way of life be my life! I worked after school, shining Shoes, Paper Route, Cashing in Bottles and cans, shoveling snow in winter, cutting people's lawns, running errands , anything to make money! I saved and saved, contributing half to my folks! Worked after school lifting heavy barrels of oil onto trucks, graduated High School, got my BA in Music and the Arts, met my Soulmate, fell in love, got married, and we bought our first little home from the money I started making from. age 10! Lost my baby( my wife) 5 years ago, live alone today! House paid for, no car payments... Not at all rich, but comfortable! You could say it's because I'm White, but Blacks in the North, where I grew up had as many opportunities as I did! And many owned businesses, houses, and lived peacefully and as welcome as White Families in my neighborhood! Today, under DONALD Trump! Black unemployment is at an all time record low! Same for Hispanics, Asians, and women! There are more jobs, than people to fill them! Seek.. And ye Shall find! No more excuses! You, are a beautiful young woman! Hope you marry (yes,Marry) a good Man and work as a team to build a wonderful life together! Nothing, and no one can stand in your way! Best of luck to you ( I know you'll do fine) and please, Please, don't vote for Democrats! They have kept Black people down for decades! THEY were the party who started the KKK! They have manipulated Blacks with promises forever! In truth, doing nothing! Including OBAMA! Hope I didn't post to much,, again, my best to you!

@@joelspivak6622 I didn't vote at all this past election...both candidates seemed unfit. I don't believe anyone or human being can fix what's going on...it's the blind leading the blind...hopeless. God's kingdom is our only hope, if we live through it. Satan has become stronger and just like in our past history it will get so bad a hard reset is the only thing that will fix this mess. your tenacity and hard work is a good thing but I know people personally that have this same drive to make it and fall short everytime..I work hard for my living as well to help my family, I've never received state benefits. Our actions get no reward other than holding on to our morals. My comment was made out of frustration because hoods/poverty shouldn't even exist, Drugs happened and tore everything apart. If a black man gets a small weed charge he's pretty much done for life. It's by design that our men are taken from the family unit , to weaken our structure so that our kids grow up hopeless and repeat the same cycle. Not everyone is strong enough to overcome or have patience like u and I....this is what I see., this is what I've lived thru...I know race wars are by design as well to divide and disrupt the human mind so that we actually hate each other instead of helping each other. My step mom is white and my siblings are having a hard time as well...this is not the way it's supposed to be...everything is definitely not OK...

I know this video is supposed to highlight the poorer areas but really does remind me of Louisville. Same type ghetto areas and not much to do. Only difference Memphis has higher crime apparently.
